Add sig races in every empty time slot next season
For fuck's sake no. LESS sig races.
It's already "who gets the best gear and packs through sheer volume of runs/luck" and you want to amplify this by adding more volume? I'd rather get unlucky in 20 sigs over a season and not set records than feel like I need grind 80 sigs just to get that money run to stay "competitive". I use that term hyper loosely, because sig competition is already a joke. | |

siggity diggity doo. i am torn on this issue. on the other hand id love to do 100 sigs per season but then i realize throzz would get #1 anyway so i give up

" Youd be able to restart at will if you didnt hit certain benchmarks, so its not like youd actually grind 100 full sigs over the course of a season. More like 10 or so, with the rest being practice / test runs and non-full length failed starts / resets. Could alternately remove all rng from the sig. Select your class, gear and gems beforehand, fixed seed, fixed monsters, nothing for sale at the vendors, no drops from anything. Standings based (almost) 100% on player skills (desync and combat rng withstanding). Inb4 the usual "but its not fun if loads of random number generators arent almost entirely determining my final results" type replies that suggesting a deterministic sig always generates. " I'm pretty much coming on board with this idea. Choose loadout and go as far as you can get on that. I'd even prefer it if it was a specially created race like descent. That being said, the amount of these would have to be minimal, 10-15 of them per season. Maybe 20, as they would most likely be boring as fuck to most people, myself included. Removing all RNG from the sig races would be the best I think but some might find that boring so I doubt GGG would add that. I remember GGG saying the more random a race is the more players play which sounds like they like the randomness.
If it was open time trial then you can just restart if timings are slow rather than be forced to go through a whole race hoping for insane rng later in the race. I just want races to actually feel fair each time. :/ Reaching brutus 2 minutes slower than my good rng races when the maps are already fixed seed is not fun. General Racing Guide for Act 1

Good Luck and Passages = 11min for me Bad Luck and Passages = 20min It happened several times to me that I got fucked by a Trashcan in Upper Passage and another one in Lower Prison. If they would at last drop like in CB I would always need a 40 ed chopper. But no white trash.... |
