It's rounding. A level 2 Enlighten only makes a tiny little difference, and with Mortal Conviction already halving all your shit, it's easy to make *0.96 into nothing.

Sick slow to lvl gem, Minor effect on reservation never used in most of builds because of it.

Would be nice to double its bonuses, but I won't hold my breath. Get enough mana reduction from the tree and it'll allow you to keep just enough mana unreserved that you can run your 6L with one more aura/herald/blasphemy.
Just a shame that you need a level 4 to really get the desired effects. 10 ex = ouch. | |

Is it possible to stack multiple Enlightens ? 2-3 enlighten in 1 6 Link or 2 enlightens in 2 seperated 4 links ?

It's there - look for the Mana Multiplier line. You know, the thing that was mentioned in the patch note :P Same line that traditional Supports put their increase.

This gem is fit into almost every end-game build, but still leveling the slowest.. really, why? So pointless.
