We welcome First Impression posts! Please be nice to those posts.

Loving the hardwork everyone @ GGG has put into this amazing game so far. Its very refreshing to experience. Im Loving it trying to get the learning curve down.
i really have a great first impression.

a few haggles, once got stuck in a summoner party buddy, we needed both a few dash rols to get us unstucl (one in another)

the minimap is for my taste a bit to LESS transparent, even on max transparency.

atm i do not have to complain about anything else :D

just PLEAST, do not make it tooo casuals, we RARELY get gems like this one!

THANK YOU GGG
I play a Monk and I am only L6 and reached Red Vale.

PoE 2 = PoE 1 Ruthless with Roll

But somehow PoE2 doesn't feel so frustating as Ruthless.
Don't know why, maybe because so many things are new.

PoE 2 start is harder than PoE 1, but you have to make less decisions (less loot and no socket links) so I think it's easier for (complete) new players.
Though passive tree looks more meaningful - separate branches.

I'll see next levels if missing (support?) gems will be a problem.

The game is so damn good! the atmosphere is absolutely outstanding! spells, and monsters, music, items! Bosses are also really good! =). It's really hard but on a postiv level =).

My feedback wishes that you could perhaps find wells out in the terrain if you want to replenish mana or life? but I understand maybe it's a bit of a cheat??

Best regards!
Poe veteran! Have been here sense November 2010.
Having to have uncut gems to see what skills/supports/buffs we can get as we go is just lame design. Also, that some skills are locked behind weapons that give you those skills is just infuriating. I wanted to play srs but my choices are (checks notes) flame wall and fire version of winter orb. OR give up a sceptre that gives spirit and use a ash staff that gives firebolt. OR wait till level 31 for fireball. So far, not having a cowabunga time. My grandmother who had 2 strokes runs faster than my character. My 3 year old rolls further than my character. And the community is so toxic being split between the 2 camps of "I have a complaint/problem/concern can someone help" And "STFU THE GAME IS GREAT IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO PLAY DIABLO". Just a bad time for me i guess.

I like playing mages and I wanted to play lightning based sorceress. Trying to get through act to the game is basically telling me I have chosen the wrong skills, spark plus flame wall plus orb of storms does not work. It seems like I should be playing some sort of frost build or something, I'm not quite sure to lock down the battlefield and then maybe cast other abilities if necessary. Its disappointing that instead of me dictating what sort of skills I want to use the game is dictating it with a big club smashing over my head, endlessly.

The music is great
THe voice acting seems great so far.
Love the atmosphere and vibe of act 1 and the creepy caravan pulled by I don't even know what, zombies? in act 2

Honestly, loving the game so far. Crisp interactions and solid effects.
My only note, is an accessibility comment: Font Size or Scaling options please. In a game where so much fun can be had looking for the perfect item stat or effect it really sucks when you can’t read them comfortably from the couch.
Dear GGG,
First of thanks for the game..it looks great!
I would like to raise some concern/suggestion
1. Normally the plan was to hook in casual players who has few hours per day to enjoy the game. Today the game is not casual friendly at all. It is hard and not much rewarding. The essence of the game is the end game, but as i can see today for a casual player it is just a dream.
2. Loot/drops: not much useful loop dropping. Also not enough support gems. With the beta the main goal was to test different skills+ support gems, but it is difficult to do this today
3. Mobility. Why the moobs are 2x faster compared to the character?Hopefully this willl be sorted out soon
4. Leveling. Not reearding enough.Do not feel stronger after the level up.Maybe have to reevaluate and put the skill gem leveling what we have in POE1
5. Some maps are huge, but did not get why. Also it is not fun when i die to do the whole map again and kill all the moobs again
Thanks again

I may have gone into POE2 with wrong but almost no expectations. I never felt tempted to play games like Elden Ring etc.
At this point I never regretted paying for EA as much as for POE2. It just is zero fun, 100% frustration.
I've been playing ARPGS since Diablo1 so iv been around.
For PoE2 EA I decided to slow down and just enjoy it.
(please note normally I prefer to meta/rush, so for now slowing down is a nice one time playthrough experience in EA, but after this its back to meta/rush for me)

Im having a blast. I feel like i did when i was a teen playing D1.

My experience:
FYI i just got to act2 after +-6hours gameplay. Yes very slow I know but dont care.
Very refreshing experience. In part due to the layed back gaming mindset I put myself in and PoE2 providing the fuel for that.
With it being EA i decided no meta/rushing, just enjoy it like a baby.
I didnt plan anything.
When servers went live I just had my pc on, no tv/streams, no path of building. Just me and PoE2. Just focused on enjoying the game and said, im gonna do a solo campaign playthrough and just have fun and go uber slow.
I couldnt decide what to play till i logged in and saw the sorc hanging by a noose and picked her on the fly.
ALL the combat is entertaining and engaging, even regular mob packs. If I die 2x to something I just backtrack and get more xp/gear. Even that is fun improving my combos/combat.
Im enjoying exploring every level till fully explored, listening to every npc/clickable(thanx for voice acting, im a lazy+dyslexic reader)

'issues' I had:
Things that i couldnt figure out and decided to ignore(decreased my power level):

1)My main concern:
In my playtime using firewall, it doesnt always cast.
Maybe i just dont know mechanics yet. IMO objects or enemies interfere with casting firewall. Ill click to cast but it wont cast. Be it because i cursored over a mob or map asset.. it just wont cast and i have to click to cast again. Then maybe its interfered with again next try and doesnt cast.
Just make it cast by default some range away between character and cursor? Regularly I've 2x cast firewall, fail 2x, then finally cast firewall.. i just spent 3x time casting 1x firewall, coulda casted firewall+orbofstorms+sparks and killed pack, instead now im confused and pack is meleeing me and I just have my firewall up.

2)
I got skill Raging Spirits but it didnt trigger on my firewall. After 5+levels I noticed hovering over one of Firewall icons in (G) I had to right click it..

So in (G) menu theres 2 firewall icons. One shows the spell info and thats where i looked.. its the icon ontop of it u have to hover over and then it tells you to rightclick to activate.. 2nd icon i didnt even look at cus i thought 1st had all the info.

3)
Had some issues with support gems..
I had 2 skill gems equipped: Probably Skeletal Archer and Spark.
I had 2 support gems(both green probably Pierce and Conduction)
when i picked up either of them in inventory the support gem slots on my skills(G) glowed suggesting both were compatible with eachother. But when i put one in I couldnt use the other support in the other skill. Still dont know how it works.
Now i just have Conduction in Ark and Pierce in Frost Mage.. Works so lets go play.

4)
I did like to speedrun maps in PoE1 so wonder how that will feel possibly going slower in PoE2. Might be fun. Will have to hit endgame to find out:)

Like i said, having a blast.
gg GGG, keep up the good work!
