Makes sense , yeah i will remove blast radius , like i said i started working backwards from a 98 level LS ranger on abyss. I too did not fully understand the reasoning behind skill tree choices. it looks like i can get rid of aoe nodes for spell dodge acrobatics. yeah seems shatter is not possible without high crit chance. Deadeye ascendency is released, but it seems a bit meh. The pierce+bleed+tailwind seems the most interesting combination, but will it beat Raider?

heya bud, is there any tree changes i can make to get at least close to 300k dps with spell dodge at 91 level ? . elemental overload is not a requisite for me. if i can get comparable damage with crit id love add cold damage for shatter this is with EO at lvl 91 and spell dodge https://pastebin.com/cJAp8XAz It would rock with shatter- i just know it,but not sure how to make it happen though. Does cold damage have to be higher than lightning damage ? What about Three Dragons Helmet you can change any items except windscream boots, of course a better weapon would mean more damage that much i know too , since the one i have made is an average one. i saw the new slayer tree its kind of gutted and not impressive.i value hard reductions and defensiveness that does not make my health orb do the disco dance every time in a rare mob. " Hi bud, yes I agree. Tailwinds looks interesting but I don't think it's enough to beat Raider overall. To me the problem with Deadeye which GGG has not fixed is that it is a purely offensive class, whereas Raider and Pathfinder both have offensive and defensive utility, and offense which is better than Deadeye. If they want Deadeye to be purely offensive it should have BETTER offense than both Raider and Pathfinder. I don't know why they are scared to buff Deadeye. Just give it something good, not this weak stuff. Anything like more crit multiplier, 100% chance for projectile attacks to hit, pierce all targets, immunity to reflect from projectiles, take off Raider's EV vs. projectiles adn give that to Deadeye, whatever. Anything. Don't think it makes sense that the class that is only offense with almost zero defense - should have the worst offense among the Ranger ascendancies? " Hi, I'll take a look when I get back home later today. I don't think you will need much added cold damage to freeze regular mobs. I'll test on my build by swapping HoT for HoI and/or getting a jewel with added cold instead of light and/or using a cold support gem in my links. I took a quick look at Slayer - didn't seem to change much although it seems they've swapped around a few of the mods to give more trade-offs for deciding to allocate 8 points. Anyway, at least the good thing is it would be easy to swap Ascendancies in Duelist if you end up preferring one vs. the other. |

" True , can always swap ascendencies. I think not being able to shatter magic /rare mobs would make the whole purpose of going shatter route pointless? Because lets say shatter prevents corpses for detonate dead. if your killing hit on a rare/magic/mini boss level monster is not while its frozen , it will not shatter. I would love to see your take on shatter with ls, on how high it can go for effective freeze chance/crit chance and what is the average dps you end up with. I love how this game forces you to play 1 shot everything on screen before it 1 shots you . " Yes but I don't think you will need a huge amount of cold to freeze those mobs. Also if you are planning on doing Poorjoy's Asylum rotations you should be fine as nearly always someone in party will be able to freeze and shatter and besides the whole group will be doing a lot of DPS so you will be clearing extremely fast. For your new PoB link, you would need to spec into crit chance if you want to be freezing reliably but unfortunately that is going to take up quite a few points on the tree at the cost of your other nodes (ie. HP). I think the best alternative with your current PoB link is to: - put two CWDT+COH setups: 1 inked to Temp Chains, 1 linked to Enfeeble. Since you will be playing at range having them on Blasphemy I don't feel will work well - by removing Blasphemy you free up some mana so you can put on Wrath aura which will be a big damage boost - drop lightning golem and ancestral protector - when you in party you will be getting lots of buffs and you wont have time to be summoning these things - consider having Maim on Tombfist which will slow movt speed of enemies you hit with LS Anyway, I didn't make the above changes but I did adjust your tree a bit: https://pastebin.com/9FBXQ345 - Got more life so now you are at 211% life from tree - Got you some pierce - Got Vaal Pact - Extra jewel socket - Adjusted some other nodes so your DPS stays roughly the same So in summary you will have: - 6.2K life - Ranged + whirling blades - AA (13% less phys damage, 13% less fire damage, only mitigates hits when you are stationary) - CWDT Temp Chains + Enfeeble - Vaal Pact - With Champion: perma-Fortify (20% reduced damage taken from hits), Cannot be Stunned while you have Fortify, 6% reduced damage taken from Taunted Enemies (from 100% chance to taunt on hit), 100% accuracy, Taunted Enemies take 20% increased damage (very big damage multiplier) - Acro - Phase Acro - Then you can throw on a Basalt flask for 15% additional phys damage reduction, and a Quartz for +10% dodge adn +10% spell dodge. And you have room for 2 life flasks (I would get Blood of Karui and a normal life flask), and then space for 1 more flask (Taste of Hate for further phys reduction or Ruby's for higher max fire res, or Atziri flask for DPS) - Then if you REALLY want to be safe on Poorjoy's consider getting Arrow Dancing node (but you must stay at range if you take this node ofc) Bro this is overkill xD. This is soo much defense. And on top of that you will be ranged with whirling blades! Your projectile DPS should be close to 300k once you add on Wrath and the 20% damage multiplier for Taunt for Champion, and when you get in a party your DPS will ofc get even higher. ====== Aye Detonate Dead and the old Volatile Blood used to be quite painful for melee players. Especially because spell dodge and spell block does not work against that explosion damage - so you are basically forced to eat the damage as melee. I must say I'm really liking this chest. Love the design, love the buffs. AR+EV will make chroming a little easier too. Can't wait to see what the other Cat Aspect buff looks like and EDIT: looks like this chest allows Aspect to cost no mana to reserve. Are you playing this league? This is why poorjoy's is broken- Monster Rarity Damage Modifiers Anyone playing at range has no clue ,and might not even notice it in their normal game play experience. All that makes me believe that damage reductions from champion and enfeeble are really going to work. Regarding the VP route. I think i will switch to it after i hit 91 or earlier if i am done running labs. Definitely better for Poorjoys rotations. Also I think considering everything i don't think there are too many deadly melee projectiles to make arrow dancing worth it unless doing uber atziri ( will probably spec into it for it) but spell dodge is more imporant for that double vaal and that alai rain of chaos is spell i think? cant be avoided by arrow dancing?
