0.11.0e Patch Notes

first of all in my experience i didnt even need to start trading till lvl 35+ also everything i had was self found and worked out well till late 50s
you get skills and gear by completing quests so i dont get what people are complaining about anyway
IGN : Detrium
INB4 "Pay me 2 chaos to lvl your account to 25"

While I like the idea GGG has with this move towards a better game and the ingame economy I dont think it's that simple. These people don't care what happens even if they get banned its a free game and it's not hard to get a new account. Maybe that's the next step?
Honestly I think this is one of the best patches so far. It didn't add any major gameplay changes but it addresses alot of issues with trading. I have an idea as to how you could shut down the RMT traders for a while, it would take a while to do but what if you actually contacted them in game and said "I have lots of exalts, bring all of you currency and I'll trade you like 30 of them so I can craft." then when you actually see that there "throwaway account" has all of the currency on it, ban them on the spot. It would take a while for them to get all of their currency back.

I don't get your point. If I'm a legit player and I want to buy Exalts, I'll trade my others currencies to another player with various rates.

Most RMT sites use a new account every few trades to minimize the risk of losing goods if the account gets reported and banned. This means they have to do a lot of muling to get trade items on the temp accounts. Now it's significantly harder for them to move currency to throw-aways.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
First in the credits!
This won't do anything because dropping items still exists.
Nice!

Did u even read what Chris wrote there? Currency dropped on the ground by <lvl25 char can be only picked up by this char, even if 2 hours will pass.

The one guy angry about this patch likely has no ties to RMT sites... right?
It's a good step to reduce RMT, but it does not address the issue at all at the same time. Level 25 can be reached within 1 hour tops. Bots / multiboxers will have several accounts up to 25 within that 1 hour. It's very good that you are trying guys and this is why I like PoE so much, but I don't think you guys can win it. Much bigger companies then you can't. Only the last year I believe RMT industries scored unbelievable high overturn of over 9 billion dollars. Now you tell me if you are from the people that do RMT would you say no to a chunk of that money? Hell no, nobody would.

No matter how sad it is I think you should stop addressing RMT so much and focus on making the game even better than already is.
