Going into more detail. When he says art they have to finish designing the class looks. Then they have to make thousands of animations the they will use thorough the game. This process takes a long time. Especially since they don't have to many people working on them.

We don't know how stage is game.
Act 2 is finished, because will be in new alpha this month. Propably they have lot content for Act 3. I don't know if they planning act 4, not for open beta for shure.
I'm thinking that they have 3 classes more advanced than you think, but they not ready for show it yet.
They making this game 5 years, they made lot of content by this time.

I'm most concerned with balance because usual for this kind of game takes most time, you must play game again and again, from start to finish, all classes, on all levels of difficulty, fixing things and playing again. If something wrong with graphics it is easly noticeable, with balance it is not so obvious.

When BlizzNorth was making Diablo II they working like creazy to balance game, one year, 18 hours per 7

At least they have plenty of free labor in the community :)

Really sounds great. Reminds me of Diablo 1.

But - and there is always a but:

I played MMORPGs for quite a very long time (started with Meridian 59 back there..) and I still do have a bad feeling, everytime I read "free to play". It's like an itching all over your skin which makes you peel it all off. Gross, yes.

I do hope, they do not ruin anything of a potential good game-mechanic with this payment-system. I rather pay a monthly fee than ending up with Cash-Shops.

Developers, it's your choice if you want to make this something big or get too greedy and shoo everybody away in no-time.

I have 2 Friends that will never touch a "free to play" game again.

The hype about this label will end soon.

I would be happier if they would call it what its supposed to be, a donationshop.

Well, ready for it, too. I just love bugtracking, was kinda fun in UO, Ryzom and Neocron :)
