Ready for the BETA!

Well, you must credit Blizzard (Irvine) for seeing the potential in Condor. Diablo wasn't even released when they acquired the studio and renamed it Blizzard North (so it is a bit different than Fallout 3).

I do think it is a shame that Blizzard North closed, because from the screens it looks like their Diablo 3 had the better art style (imho).

For PoE I think it is better if they go open beta before the closed beta of Diablo 3, so considering the latest information it would be wise to at least start June/July.

It is important to get a large core player base before the beta of Diablo 3 overshadows everything. Ultimately, PoE will be compared to Diablo 3 and I think everyone will try Diablo 3 out one way or another when it is released.

But when the initial hype around Diablo 3 is gone, I think PoE has a chance to recollect a big part of its players.

If PoE goes public beta after the closed beta of Diablo 3 I think it is too hard to get a good core player base and recollecting the 'lost' players will be very hard if there is no community to go back to.

They should definitely hurry up with the public beta, because D3 beta is already knocking on the door. Darkspore and Mythos will have their player base as well.

Not 10 mins but i guess once an hour ^^

Its not as bad as when they were about to release the Witch Trailer, I almost had blisters from the F5 button.

Do you guys really think that there will be an update today? Unfortunately i don't think so anymore :(

fair point, it just really annoies me how so many companies do this and then get the credit for it, then that removes a talented indie group from the scene into the world of suits and bureaucracy instead of developing a good game

i also agree norths version looked better, i dont really have an issue against mythos D3 style but to me its not what the genre is about, luckily POE is here and its free :-D

delay of the update means its something big also as the 3 guys who got keys are not in yet this also means its probably an update which effects the game alot, so for me its got to be alpha class releases and maybe if we are lucky the start of adding small numbers of the active guys from here every week or 2

GGG I expect you to add me to the beta. I have tested diablo 2: LOD and I test lots of private servers of different games. I have the experiance to find bugs and glitches. I want to find all the bugs so you could fix them in beta - and only then when all is fixed ,have fun. Count me in GGG you wont regret.

I too would hope to help out with closed beta when applicable, as this looks to be rather nice and chock full of potential. I mean, if I helped with Din's Curse, and also intend to help with Grim Dawn, how could I not jump at the chance for this as well?
