GGG, or their internet provider, or some other piece of infrastructure might have been taken out by today's earthquake. So they might not have internet access at the moment. Apparently quite a large amount of stuff in NZ has lost power. |

To me (but I could be wrong) it seems that the Dev's are extremely busy the last weeks. If you look at Chris and Jonathans profiles you see that they have not posted for over a week and they have been a bit less active on the forums the weeks before that too.
I hope they are not too stressed though and can squeeze a screenshot out this week:D

My guess is that Beta is not going to begin on March 1st, instead there is going to be a big reballancing in Alpha. I am basing this on the significant decrease in developer postings and things three or so weeks ago when the last version came out .
That was Alpha version 0.7.0, so this must be like 0.8.0 (with 1.0.0 being Beta). If each build takes 3 weeks or so, 0.9.0 should be around March 15th and Beta 1.0.0 will be around the end of March or the beginning of April.
