Vaal temple poll

Do you guys really want to have the temple as a core mechanic?

I find it too convoluted and the rooms are all tiny and annoying to fight in. I hope it gets removed somehow or redesigned. It's at the very bottom of the list, below even campaign.

Now that it isn't warping most of the playerbase to be in there it's fine. Much like any other endgame mechanic, if you don't like it don't do it.

I too wasn't a temple fan, mainly because it lacked enough variety ... you were fighting the same mini bosses over and over again, and some of the rooms were just annoying.

As a core game mechanic though it will be far less common and you can always skip it.

Here's the beauty of POE, both 1 and 2. You can choose what parts of the game you want to interact with. You don't like that one part? Ignore it, there's like 5 other activities you can do. Now if you hate most of them, than the game simply isn't for you.

It was alright from a solo perspective. I am kind of hoping the adjustments to bring it core are better at keeping it "fresh".

The best part of it for me was being able to get soul cores outside of the trial of chaos in ssf and being able to farm the architect for runes. Other than that it was kind of underwhelming.

I had a half-snake going and it was pretty good for farming rare currencies but it was just so goddamn repetitive. Wished there was a bit more room variety, and I was pretty damn sick of fighting Vaal mobs and constructs by the end of the league.

I tried to corrupt all my Vaal uniques but I didn't get a single decent outcome all league lol.

Atziri fight was kinda neat and her reward room also gives some rare currencies somewhat reliably but I just stopped bothering to fight her at some point out of boredeom.

Overall I found myself preferring to map normally. I can see some of the rooms being useful to have around, especially the one that lets you take back an augment but destroying the item, but I don't think I'm going bother farming this again for awhile.

the real question is do you want the new vaal currency to go core, which is a yes for me. Do I want to farm it personally? Probably not

We need it because it has build defining currencies and uniques.

I AM OK IT'S BEING A COMPLETELY OPTIONAL MECHANIC.

I am not ok if it is FORCED.

Luckily it's completely optional, you don't even need to do it once for any challenges, any other end game stuff.

You can purely skip it which is fine.
