i'm hyped for alot of stuff but the thought of having to do the campaign again yeh no thanks

Easy. Just give us 6 acts of interludes with very high difficulty after we finish campaign the first time.

People juicing second characters with cheated weapons from the firs char anyway so we could just have a mode where we are actually able to equip higher level items / skills sooner.
sad
I think the 2nd and 3rd acts just drag on way too long and because the maps are big it feels like a chore going through it over and over. Its not like those acts are so captivating that I'm eager to do them every time but that's just me. Not really sure what the alternative would be however.
If you consider how long a fresh run of the campaign takes mixed with how little time most people actually have for playing games, and add on to that league resets, I feel safe if saying many if not most players never see the endgame at all. Just get partway through the campaign (or stop right at the end of it) each league.
And it's clear the sizable majority of the playerbase never gets to do any actual crafting, because it's so expensive the league ends before they could possibly afford to.

Arguably, the endgame is the least important part of the game.
This OBVIOUS problem will exist until those cringe PoE1 zealots admit that the amount of time spent in a video game is not in itself some kind of personal achievement.

Until then they will defend wasting our time.
Until then they will defend mindless grind.
Until then they will gate keep behind the time counter.

OR GGG realizes that the people who are not PoE1 zealots and come here to PoE2 because they like playing the game are actually in the majority.

Where did you get your numbers from regarding "people who are not PoE1 zealots and come here to PoE2 because they like playing the game are actually in the majority"?

And I get it we get new stuff in the campaign after we go though it once but fuck me if I can mentally sit though another 4-5 hours of a unfun slog fest an thats if I get lucky with drops etc so it may be more

And were not even done theres going to be more acts and more added in ...

No joke I'd rather slam my nut in a car door than have to keep doing the campaign

You are ready to do that after maybe 1.5 years max? Hope you got balls of steel son. PoE has been around long enough that this is just the beginning of the cycle, not the exception.

Then just play your existing characters in standard...
I'm looking forward to doing campaign again with a new character, but will probably also do a bunch of end game with existing characters to try out all the new mechanics.
League start is the only time I kind of enjoy the campaign. But that's really more about the race, the community, and establishing an early economic foothold than anything else. Every time after that campaign is a pretty big impediment to me wanting to play an alt. I'm hoping these new changes make it feel better. Though I generally feel the same way in PoE1, and mostly wish subsequent characters in a league had all waypoints open and the quest already completed, so you can just go farm wherever you like until you get to the level to start maps.

What's so slug about it? what would be the difference if mapping started at level 1? you think that wouldn't be a slug too? what's the difference between a waystone and a zone in an act?
