The best way to play path of exile 2

Play alone or with friends, but you must all agree to never use uniques. No unique items, no unique jewels, only standard gear.
I played diablo 3 like that and it made me enjoy the game again. All the skills were equally useful, I could make fun builds again, and monsters were a challenge. If the game suffers from poor itemization, simply stop using these broken items. Path of Exile 2 is the same. By playing the game that way, there was no insta map clearing every second. Monsters were a challenge and the game was fun. It's how I'm going to play the incoming league and I wish GGG would open a league without uniques so I could partner up with random people. I agree, so many uniques break the game. The game is more fun without them.
I would add no lineage support gems and no buying overpowered gear from the market. |

What I like to do for a challenge is I can ONLY use Uniques.
Really makes that first Act a whole new challenge on League start and stays challenging all the way through end game. |

" In poe1/2 you can easily build screen clearing characters without using a single unique, so the whole premise of this post is inaccurate. Uniques have in fact been the weakest part of poe2's itemization so far (they seem to have noticed and are fixing some of them in 0.5). You can also not upgrade your gear at all and it will provide you with extra challenge, but that goes against the whole concept of character progression in an arpg. The way this gets solved is by introducing some semblance of balance, and pinnacles getting proper -% dmg taken zone modifiers. This will come with time. Be careful what you wish for though. |

Uniques aren't legendaries, and it's very easy to find rare items that are much better.

" Exactly! Uniques are garbage in POE 2. Poster seem to think uniques are some sort of legendary from diablo. They are not. They are almost always much weaker than rare items. |
