I defeated the boss, then died, and IT DELETED MY LOOT

I had LEGENDARY ITEMS IN THERE!!!
I was in an instance at 1734 and I was fighting the boss. I had a tablet in a slot that added an Abyss and the abyss spawned in the boss area. Sure, I'll try. I was stomping around, as a bear does, and BOOM, boss goes down. Ran away for my rage to reset, BOOM finished off the rest of them and one of the monsters inflicted bleeding. Didn't pay attention and then died. I had 3 more tries to beat the map so no problem right? WRONG. WRONG WRONG WRONG. I was sent to a loading screen and BAM ALL MY LOOT WAS GONE! All the loot the boss dropped and all the loot from the Abyss, INCLUDING LEGENDARY ITEMS, GONE. What kind of mechanic is that????? WHERE IS MY LOOT???? Give me my goop back. unless it was that expensive omen then the loot is not worth anything. your "legendary" item was probably few exalts at most

I am curious.
