Real take on Party bonus and leeching being an ECONOMY/Balance disaster - GGG fake data analytics
" True, my bad. For some reason i though it's 8. It's 6. Corrected this small mistake. |

solo carry here doing full party temples all day. DELETE PARTY PLAY BONUSES. It has no right to exist the way it currently is. It was just fine before without the "X% more currency per member" thing they added

Loot should be completely individualized.
What you see drop should only be for you. You should not be able to see what's dropping for other players. Being in a group or not should not change the amount of loot you're getting. The point of grouping should be wanted to play co op, nothing about loot. Side note, when discussing the party play loot dynamics as they currently exist, it's important to remember that in many if not most if not almost all groups, the loot is not being split between multiple players, it's being funneled into the leader of the group. Not 5 players sharing loot, 1 players getting 5 players worth of loot. |

"Most groups" are likely playing couch coop on console (on a single account for both players). And won't ever beat the campaign or interact with trade, chat, forums... (And this fraction will keep increasing as time passes and PoE2 gets cheaper to start playing, and we're already seeing the next step of that plan.)
(You should try couch co-op if you hadn't yet, it's pretty fun ! Console optional, BTW.) " This is the core predicament. And fundamentally one that is not solvable : if you don't want to deal with it, you play SSF, or pseudo-SSF (see above for the typical couch co-op experience) where you deliberately (or just from ignorance) play by house rules, restricting you from being competitive. Only GGG knows the full data about the effects of top tier group play on the league's economies, and I would be careful to not take what they say about 'average' players too literally (especially with the lack of context inherent to a live discussion), or presume that they are so dumb that they don't understand how statistics work. |
