Arachnophobia Mode!

Loving the game so far, but i have a best friend i can't play with because of his arachnophobia, act 2 is a deal-breaker for him with your frankly terrifying spider pits

would it be technically possible to add a mode that simply replaces spider spawns with appropriate leveled enemy spawns from the same area?

this is the kinda thing i'd normally make a mod for, but due to the rules around mods in PoE2 i don't want to risk that and get in trouble, so instead i'm asking the devs

your spiders are great, cool models, fitting attacks, but you DID make them awfully freaky, could we get a toggle for their spawn? i know one person who'd pick up the game in a heartbeat at least if you did

This. I can't in good faith recommend this game to a good friend of mine because of their extreme arachnophobia.

In a video game? I have a fear of being burned to death and it happens in the game all the time. That doesn't scare me, thoguh, because it's a game on a screen and clearly not real life. The game looks nice, but it's nowhere near photorealistic.

"Fighting giant demon beasts on piles of shredded human remains is one thing, but cartoon spiders creep me out" seems a bit off.

I never understood why people want to argue about somebody's irrational phobia. "Your irrational fear doesn't seem rational to me" doesn't seem like a very useful thing to say, but people always do.

Yes. It's irrational. Everybody knows that, even the person with the phobia.

it seems completely a waste of time to come in going "duhhh, why would you want dat?"

do you complain about colour blindness settings? subtitles? how about any of the other completely "unecessary" quality of life features that let people play games we like with us?

the setting i propose is completely optional, nobody is impressed by you telling us how much YOU don't need or want one, go comment supporting feedback you DO want to see instead of bogging down the feedback you yourselves don't seem to care about
