" It should be strong. The only problem I see with +level is it's too rampant on too many pieces of gear and a weapon can get +6 and that's where it becomes ridiculous. I'm not advocating for it to be less powerful, I only want it to not be on everything and the range of roll should not be as high as +6 or such. Some classes get their dps mostly from +Levels, like the minion class. For a deadeye, it's not as important per example. +Level is a really fun mechanic and a pillar in D2 but poorly implemented in POE2. The itemization in general in POE2 is completely ruined in my eyes. It was really fun in 0.1 and each iteration it got worse. In 0.3 I had hope but that hope was crushed with 0.4 and I'm alienated. I'll still look up 0.5 to see if anything has changed. If anything +level should be reworked to not roll with such a large range. The problem is that when you roll an item, if you get a +1, or +2 on an item that can roll +6, your item is absolute fucking trash. So yes, the range of the roll should be lower but not capped to +1, that would be really sad. The higher the iLevel, it should guarantee at least a decent minimum +n roll. Capping it to +1 for an amulet would simply make itemization less exciting and the game less fun. Itemization is paramount, everything else is secondary. Here is my order, 1 being the highest priority: 1. Itemization, excitement for loot that drops. 2. Good mobility 3. Somewhat challenging boss fights, but not for regular mobs if your are min maxed. 4. Healthy economy that allow you to trade good stuff if you grind. 5. Good endgame, which this game never had. " Thats more or less my point, to reduce range. basically poe1 style, ammy +1, wand +1, staff +2 specific or +1 all. For me levels are not exciting, cause i can get T1 spell damage T1cast speed T1 crit, and its trash bc there is T1 levels on it. Its also just boring that every single caster archetype wants +3 spells amulet. all 5 other stats dont matter. cheapest option is +3 levels and 5 dead stats your next option is +3 levels and 1-5 good stats for your build then if u have money, +3 level +50 spirit and 4 dead stats and then +3 levels +50 spirit and 1-4 good stats And for me world where i just look for good stats instead of levels and spirit is more fun |
