ㄴ5x BETTER DROPS IN STANDARD — HERE’S WHYㄱ

The idea of removing Standard or resetting everything periodically is not a good one, because it ignores a fundamental point: players in this league greatly value the progress they have already achieved and the builds they have developed over time.

For those who play Standard regularly, continuity is one of the main reasons to stay engaged with the game. Unlike temporary leagues, where the focus is on starting over, Standard is about evolving what has already been built.

This difference in perspective may come from the fact that some players prefer the league model, while others identify more with Standard. For this reason, it is important to consider both viewpoints.

You want to revitalize standard?

The simplest way to revitalize Standard would be to treat it more like leagues, resetting it on a cycle but instead of every four months letting it span three leagues before a clean wipe. A 12 month economy keeps things fresh and prevents the format from going stale.

It is kind of funny people say they want Standard to be better but the main reason most people play PoE is for the constant fresh resets and economy restarts, and since both Standard and leagues share the same base game, challenge leagues already cover the need for fresh, exclusive content.
So the solution to most of these problems already exists in the system.

But maybe Standard should just be wiped every 12 months to clear the clogged up economy.

Yeah, how about no on that.

No reason for players who enjoy having years-long projects effectively getting deleted to stick around at that point (myself included), mirror/legacy items or not.
Some Standard-exclusive Core changes would be nice actually to 'revitalize' it. Bring back legacy modifiers and modifier ranges. Bring back meta-defining league mechanics. Revert (and unnerf) overly reworked mechanics. Crucible when?
