ㄴ5x BETTER DROPS IN STANDARD — HERE’S WHYㄱ
|
In the Standard league, low-value or nearly worthless items are indeed abundant. However, this does little to help, since these items have very little value.
What players actually want is to see valuable items and currency dropping more often — items like Voices (1 passive), Hinekora’s Lock, Mirrors, and similar high-impact drops. These are the items that truly matter, the ones that push builds forward and make progression meaningful. In Standard, it is only fair that rarer items and valuable currency have better drop rates, because item prices are significantly higher compared to leagues. As it stands, acquiring these items in Standard is far more difficult, especially considering the smaller player base and reduced trading opportunities. A simple and fair solution would be to increase drop rates in Standard by 5x. Why 5x? Because this reflects the minimum increase in item value after they migrate from leagues to Standard. If item prices rise by at least this amount, then drop rates should be adjusted accordingly to match that reality. Right now, the balance is clearly off. Standard players are expected to deal with much higher item costs without any meaningful compensation in drop rates. If Standard is meant to remain a viable and enjoyable way to play, this needs to be addressed. Improving drop rates would not break the game — it would restore balance, improve player satisfaction, and give Standard players a fair chance to progress their builds. This is not about making the game easy. It is about making it fair Last bumped on Apr 21, 2026, 2:50:21 PM

That is silly. There is no need to change drops in Standard, they are fine. Perhaps if you spent more time actually playing, rather than posting on the forum, you would get decent drops too.

Ground drops simply don't exist in Standard.

maybe you should take your own advice xjjanie#4242 and come back with better information, you do a 8 mods maps with 3 plenty scarabsa and 2 lineage and you barely get 1 card... same garbage for scarabs, you add 4 modifiers to rares and you dont even get a drop... there is a reason why the beast market have tanked... everybody is doing that because the online decent strat is breach but it cost 8 divines to run per map and you loosing money unless you farm in a 6 man party. they said early 3.27 that they know that endgame strategies are lacking and was gonna fix in 3.28.... they didnt do anything, they nerfed everything, oh they increased bubblegum currency by 2x.... but they "sLightly" (50%) nerfed the special mods on t17 and originator maps cancelling the currency buff for end game farming.... and now chaos orbs are 850:1 divine... even in league chaos orbs are 330:1...

no. at current league prices, mirrors and hinekoras are way easier to buy on standard than on league. u dont understand the reason standard prices are "high" is because u can make d's way faster than in league. the nominal price is meaningless. wat really matters is amount of rare items/mirror/hinekoras u make per unit time u spend playing, and in this metric standard is way cheaper than current league prices.

Can you prove to me that is easier to make currency on standard than at league? Because it is not what I see.
I have run several breachs now with different combinations. Those with more than 8 divs invest (5 fine Deli orb, 140 + currency, blodline, astrolabe...) returned less than 5 divs (in different currencies) per map And I have 80% iiq at gear. 120% if the main skill gives the killing blow. The breach strats with less investiments can give a little profit, but no more than 1 div per map and taking more than 3 min to open all the breachs, so, it is also a lost in Standart talking about 20 div per hour... --- Scarab of plenty strats also barelly gives profit now since the scarab price is high. --- Scarab of risk are very rare and expensive. Scarab of bloodline costing 5 divs... --- So, please, tell me, where standard player can make more currency per hour than an average mirage player? I would preffer a strat that dont feel like work, but at this point, I would like to hear of any strat that in standard surpass mirage, or at least get even... Exiles, pffff! Ehhh five times loot multiplier is too much imo.
You want to revitalize standard? Start by bringing back stuff that was (unjustly) reworked/nerfed/deleted from the game (due to *cough* PoE2) and make it exclusive to standard-only. Some Standard-exclusive Core changes would be nice actually to 'revitalize' it. Bring back legacy modifiers and modifier ranges. Bring back meta-defining league mechanics. Revert (and unnerf) overly reworked mechanics. Crucible when?

" What are you talking about? If it is about IIQ, that is not how it works at all. But anyway, iiq nice to have, but my point is that even with that, standard drops are sucking a lot. I am only made currency last month by selling legacy stuff of mine. Most of the farm was negative or irrelevant. In other words, should I look for some other game to play? Exiles, pffff! " The simplest way to revitalize Standard would be to treat it more like leagues, resetting it on a cycle but instead of every four months letting it span three leagues before a clean wipe. A 12 month economy keeps things fresh and prevents the format from going stale. It is kind of funny people say they want Standard to be better but the main reason most people play PoE is for the constant fresh resets and economy restarts, and since both Standard and leagues share the same base game, challenge leagues already cover the need for fresh, exclusive content. So the solution to most of these problems already exists in the system. But maybe Standard should just be wiped every 12 months to clear the clogged up economy.
