Would it kill GGG to keep us semi in the loop?

You can say a lot of things about GGG but that they don't listen to feedback is just plain untrue. If I go through the patch notes from 0.1 to now, I guarantee you that I can spot dozens of big changes that were feedback from either forum or reddit
Some are more obvious than others (delirium fog to name one), some are more impactful than others (such as towers) but there's no doubt they listen to feedback. There's a lot of small changes that come from feedback and people don't notice as well, but they're quite obvious when you notice the pattern |

they said they will announce full plans towards the end of April, so any day now.
You want them to pinky swear? |

yes we lack communication from devs.
Instead of progressive balancing, they make huge changes 3-4 times a year. That will never bring the balance. Combat Balance > Feelings

" if they rebalance constantly mid-league people will have meltdowns. People will complain about their builds being bricked |

" Serious answer. After seeing state of feedback section for couple of weeks i`m not surprised they don`t do that. People understanding arpg genre, economics and what keeps engagement are minority here. "Democracy" approach would get this game to be another d4 or with 99% probability mean poe2 development would go against those polls - imagine backlash. Also Larians situation was way more comfortable: 1 - Their schedule wasn`t tied to live service model or any stakeholders. They were completely independent and could postpone release date comfortably. 2 - CRPG was very niche at that time. There was no random people in that early access. Only diehard rpg/dnd fans that knew they will play only act1 till official release. Now compare this with amount of rage feedback section had/has over unconfirmed, fanmade www(poe2db) leak that 0.5 will have a month delay. People are literally crying about lack of 0.5 news while it is known for weeks we haver to wait till end of april. I`m in a let them cook attitude. So far, besides few unnecessary casualisations(f.e bosses) and delayed balance changes(f.e deadeye) i`m generally happy with how game develops. Spoiler
" I think most of the people participating in EA are reasonable and realize life will still go on despite a video game releasing a content update 30 days later than anticipated in order to better accommodate a full-release deadline, and are mostly just excited to be along for the ride no matter what happens. Unfortunately that's not a narrative that an explicit feedback forum anywhere on the internet would paint. And no one makes YouTube videos titled "I Am Just Going On With My Life As Normal 😐" so that's why all we'd see are things like, "😱 Catastrophe at GGG - Will Tencent Replace Jonathan with an AI Clone of Chris Wilson?? 😱" Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either. We dont need a democratic vote. How about just an effort to engage the community and be a bit more active on the forums. Discuss a hopeful timeline and list of things they recognize need to be added/fixed.

" " ? |

The purpose of that is to gather data. To get an idea of what it is your consumer wants. We dont ultimately make the decision, but we lend data to your development team.

" You bet it is. It's so crucial that a lot of players, depending on which direction they take, will be deleting the game or have a good time. If they want me out of their game it's very easy to do, they just need to brick movement speed even more and I will be freed from any form of future hope/hype. |
