This season just felt like it had no end game.

I clean up hardest possible maps and fill up settlers for few days then log off, after like 2 weeks I'm no longer hooked and the real end game occurs. There are plenty others games around. Magics ^^
Hate the new atlas, the generic maps (especially since i always made a point to collect every map in previous leagues which have all been turned into trash), and I REALLY miss actual t17s. I do like the new(ish) bosses, the memory guys are way better than the newest one.

All of that said, I don't like GGG tailoring the endgame for people whose job is literally streaming themselves playing the game. I do wish there were more options for juicing maps, but I woudn't want those options to lock out casuals who choose not to juice.
I voided my character a few days ago out of sheer boredom.
It's not even that i didn't like the league but it had 0 staying power for me, and i normally always play leagues to the very end.

For me its very simple, ggg should stop listening to the randoms in reddit and look to the numbers, affliction, legion leagues are good examples of what the vast majority wants from the game, game really need ultra endgame mechanics, so far is gong the LE path where it takes 1 week as much to max out enough a character to do anything in the game and be done. Aspirational content and mirrored items need an actual purpose.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was another nerf patch incoming, to cut down the power creep by a good bit. They removed some of the hardest content, so they can also get rid of some player power to even things out again.

In the meantime, if you get bored by the game being too easy, there's always SSF/HC/SSFHC to add some challenge back to the game. I know these modes not for everyone, but they definitely make you approach the game differently.

This league I felt like maps with more currency ( 110-133%+ ) was nerfed, I ran alot of them and in 95% of cases none gived not even a divine which in 3.26 was worth to juice the maps knowing that will return currency. Not to say about expensive scarabs, I lost more divines investing with mostly no returns. In the end I started to sell everything and ran 8 mods corrupted t16 maps with random stats and got more currency than investing in 16.5, maybe the RNG on my side was very bad or the currency mod on maps is not working as before.

Mirror items have a purpose, as there's still difficult content in the game. Valdo maps and very deep delves require very good gear, but it's clearly not profitable or fun enough for players to even mention in threads like this.

People don't really want hard content; they want greater rewards - and they want those rewards to feel earned. They want a reason to play harder content, not harder content itself. And they tried that with T17 maps; they made them difficult enough to cut off a large part of the player base, but made them the main source of "income", which created a bad situation.

It's a VERY hard balance to achieve.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Delve has an extreme time requirement. People simply don't have enough free time to go deep in temp. leagues. Doesn't matter if you're mechanically skilled, rich or efficient, you need to nolife it.

Valdos are the most rewarding active gameplay content in the game. Nothing comes even close. However, buying maps on trade directly is barely viable anymore. They're being mass-botted by an RMT group since async trade got introduced. You'll notice a decent amount of regular players having switched away from them. This leaves you with opening boxes.
Opening boxes means you're sitting in your hideout, clicking and gambling squares with a combined worth of multiple mirrors for 2-3 hours for every hour you spend mapping. You might as well go full hideout warrior at that point.

TL;DR: Fun, profitable but very inaccessible.
