this happens only in endgame maps, usually after I change scarabs or any map settings. I go in the map, do any kind of damage, instantly die. Doesn't happen all the time but it hurts a lot every time.
A lot of exp lost to it, a lot of currency in juiced maps... Very, very disappointing in a game that's been around this long. The possibility of it happening deters me from playing. Even if I close the game and reopen, it still happens. I need to start another map for the effect to go away (even if it's a harder one). Last bumped on Mar 26, 2026, 9:20:25 PM

My first thought would be the Map has Damage Reflection.
You'd really need to post a screenshot of the list of modifiers of an affected Map to know for sure. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
