40/40 is not casual.

Actually it is, if you actually like the league you are playing...You think it's not casual or that it is hard to achieve 40/40 because you are trying to do them yourself...But if your purpose is to get the achievements, the only real presure you have is reaching t16...After that you just rota everything and buy whatever you cannot do from service providers...

So while farming lower tier and the achievements you need to map rush like 8000 modifiers on maps and bla bla, you get some currency and buy whatever you cannot do...

I can finish any 40/40 in 2 days playing 4 hours tops a day considering I already had 2-3 days before to reach tier 16...

It's nothing impressive, and technically it gives you nothing cuz you get the set at 36...I guess if your pleasure is to sit on that hard totem they give you at 40th then yea, pushing to 40 is the way..Like I said, 3 days rush to tier 16, 20-30 divs and 2 days and you get your achievements done...Also this league is easier because scarabs are dirt cheap and you can force most mechanics :/...

If you want to be someone you do them on SSF Ruthless, and then we can talk about not being casual anymore...40/40 on trade league is like bragging with your collection of stamps :/ while the real boys around you flex with their private jets.

NAH, 40/40 is the very opposite of casual. You've only solidified that here.
Fantastic league. I hope Mirages go core. They add so much to the endgame.

Aside from the obvious server issues on launch and some getting used to the new Atlas UI, the changes to both the Atlas/Maps system, Breach, QoL and balance has been top tier!

And then comes Mirage: a league, that probably feels like "is that it?" if you're not running scarabs, full atlas (and preferably 16,5+). BUT the league scales very well with whatever juice you throw at it, and love all the new currency in there. ESPECIALLY then ability to gain 7-links via the coin corrupts.

Still rounding off my 2nd char with some crafts and pushing 100 on that too, but overall I'm nearly done. Had 1 week off on launch, and this week have been slow due to work/IRL.

8,5/10 league.

Only detractor was the server issues on launch was disheartening and caused a lot of bad vibes in general (even if it may have been partially out of GGGs control).

Literally everything you just wrote reveals it as "not casual" hehe.

There is a big difference between being a "casual" and something being "easy" or "fast". You describe challenges as being easy: they are. But the CASUAL player wouldn't even have the most basic knowledge to do the things you suggest how you complete them fast

Casual implies both limited time AND limited knowledge.

Personal Experience: I have exceedingly limited time to play except in the summer, but I would NEVER consider myself a casual. Give me 6 hours of time outside of the campaign, and I can bankroll and gear a solid mid-tier character of pretty much any style that can run t16 juiced content. While the time suggests a "casual", the actual possibilities open to me are most certainly NOT casual-friendly.

The casual player is the one stumbling out of Act 10 after a week of play with a 4L and uncapped resistances. They are most certainly not getting 40/40, killing bosses and buying into rotas lol. And DEFINITELY not two weeks or so into the league.

I am not Anti-Social, I am just selective on whom I wish to be social with.

Casual doesn't implie both limited time and limited knowledge. I have a lot of friends that know the game very well but due to family and other things they cannot play that much. So casual doesn't imply limited knowledge.

Last few leagues I struggled getting out of campaign after 2 weeks, because of no time to play. Still made 38/40 and 40/40 in a couple of days, playing casual, which is a few hours of play time.

It absolutely does: your friends are not casuals: they are experienced PoE players with limited time.

It's not meant to be derogatory in any way: its just LITERALLY what a "casual" is defined as in gaming: a casual gamer is someone who ISN'T deep into the complicated or extensive mechanics of a game (ie: limited knowledge), while also playing for a limited time. They play for enjoyment over accomplishment (NOT 40/40 or anywhere near it). The casual gamer would NEVER (or at least very very rarely) be buying a carry for anything because it is antithetical to their entire gaming experience.

*Edit Addition* Perhaps "limited knowledge" is too narrow: the true difference between a casual and a non-casual is really the APPROACH to the game, rather than the ability to master the game. The casual player is completely uninterested in challenges or achievements, but they MAY have the knowledge and skills to achieve them.
