Your AI-based algorithm is just straight-up disgusting!!!

I think I've figured it out, and it really isn't a 1/3 probability. Let's say we use ABCDE... to refer to affixes, and my target is C. If my affixes are ABC, and all 100 pieces of equipment have the affixes ABC, then it truly is a 1/3 chance to lock onto C. But, there are so many other affix combinations like BCD, CBD, CDE, CFG... that are not ABC but still contain C. The point is, if you're trying to lock onto C using equipment with ABC affixes, you'll get C. But if you use equipment with BCD affixes, you'll lock onto D instead... So, the overall probability of locking onto your target is actually far less than 1/3. So, I give up. [Removed by Support].

like i said the game doesnt know your target it just locks 1 out of 3 mods.
When you start thinking the game is cheating on you, it's time for a break. just wanted to say this. |

We already know things in the game are weighted. If they weight affix tiers why wouldn't they weight all kinds of things?

With a quick google search on something well known called gambler's fallacy you can get some good stuff

I'm not saying the op is right, but I think there is weight of some nature. If I have a weapon with a +x to skills on it, and I hit it with a chaos. Theres a high chance I'm hitting it. I've done it SO many times, whatever that best stat is, very high chance it gets hit. Its almost laughable how often it happens- but maybe I'm just extremely unlucky, lol. " I don't care much about the rest of this post but this remark can be interesting. When a game starts uses weighted affix rolls it's usually a tale tell sign the core design or gameplay design has cornered itself. Not talking about higher Tiers of course just options. Devs know exactly what the player wants because they have created meta conditions. It should never be "This is a bad affix", it should be "This is a bad affix for my build". Most notable for PoE1 are influence rolls. I guess my point is that it shows bad design when each stats does not have equal opportunity value and when devs exploit that it's all the more worse. " WELL IT SAYS CRAFTING, NOT GAMBLING, MR.BOOK-SMART(not) |

" Nope. Is very well know trick that developers always manually regulate RNG It is never PURE RNG system. |
|
" And it will never be PURE RNG because it needs roots set by humans with coding, in this case 1 out of 3. Just stop it dude. Unless you think they track you and change that value, in that case take another break and keep playing what you've been playing since 0.2 Last edited by IILU81II#8410 on Mar 18, 2026, 12:25:43 PM

People call it all just the natural variance associated with statistical probabilities, but how do you explain the fact that I drop at least one exalted orb every time I play the game after I venerate the shrine to RNGesus I keep in my dedicated PoE2 prayer chamber?
Is it just coincidence, or a likely outcome? It it just a likely result of pulling a slot-lever enough times? Or is it the result of big-tech surveillance capturing my sacrificial vow of 1000 /kills to RNGesus, followed by my promissory litany regarding a dedication to a life grinding at the altar of RNG, which get's routed to the ten-cent sentiment analysis data-center, where it's picked up by an AI ChatGGGPT agent which, after validating that I've purchased the latest supporter pack, proceeds to enable my in-game exalt drop trigger for when I've hit 1000 kills - and also dodge-rolled enough times to convince ChatGGGPT that I am committed to the "vision"? I mean that would be ridiculous, right? It's probably not the case. I'm still gonna keep dodge rolling and doing all of it though, just in case. Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either. Last edited by karsey#2995 on Mar 18, 2026, 12:38:34 PM
