I spent four months bumping a thread in the previous league and only got a partial fix in this league. Partial because the game no longer destroys my SSD, but it's been replaced by invisible assets and long loading screens. Something called "texture streaming" was fixed in PoE2 in this league, and I think it's all related to the same bug.

They urgently need to hire a dedicated team, otherwise both games will slowly die.
gtx 1660 ti
samsung ssd 980
i5 9400 2.9ghz
595.79 nvidia driver version

Takes 5-10 mins to load into town, occasional mirage crash but rare.

I speculate it has something to do with mtx, perhaps the new supporter packs? I have no proof. Avoiding town at all costs as tp to other zones and hideout are normal(2-5s).

(Act8 Sarn on the posting of this.)

Edit:
Checked, cache folder and PoE folders are all on the SSD.
Additional info: I can hear the scene loaded. Like, player movements and ambient sounds of npc makes. Like soldiers in Karui Shores marching towards the map device, the soldiers firing crossbow left of the waypoint, etc, all while on loading screen. I've reduce all graphical settings to prioritize processing speed on both PoE settings and nvidia settings.

MTX doesn't explain Mirage/Hideout loading time.
So I've tried a few things so far:

Updating/reinstalling drivers - No effects
Changing the cache size to unlimited - Little to no effects
Reinstalling the game - No effects
Turning all settings to low - No effects
Trying dx11, dx12 and vulkan - No effects

At this point I'm not sure what else I can do...
still happening, for me the worst are the instance crashes where the game keeps loading a map indefinitely while the other part about the town loading times i resorted to play the campaing in SSF then migrate back to the league when the respawn point is the epiloge
Still facing long loading screens, and in fights like "Hive Colony", no textures load at all aside from the bosses. I'm fighting them blind.
Just bricked a Feared invitation because assets weren't loading in and the 30+ second load screens in which the game registers my character as in the area and active forcing maven to heal and spawn more bosses is also pretty terrible

please fix

The game is not functioning properly on your computers. If the cause is the same, then your computers likely have something in common. Try to identify what that is.
It appears that the developers are unable to reproduce the issue.

I've noticed some people reporting that the game is installed on an SSD. However, the game also has a cache on the system drive, and if it's not fast enough, loading issues may occur. The system drive also contains the paging file. If there's not enough memory, using the paging file can slow things down.
Even if the system or game is installed on an SSD, it may be a slow SSD that doesn't handle random reads well. It's also necessary to move the paging file, video driver cache, and game cache to a faster SSD. This can significantly improve loading speeds.

The problem may be that the client and cache files are heavily fragmented.
The game cache itself is stored as a large number of small files, and working with them places a heavy load on any drive with low random access speeds.
Files may be heavily fragmented due to free space fragmentation. Free space fragmentation is exacerbated when the drive is low on free space.

Don't defragment your SSD, though, as this can significantly reduce its lifespan. Just make sure you have plenty of free space to avoid further fragmentation.

If the Shaders bar alerts you about shader loading/saving being critically slow, consider changing what the drive that shader cache is stored on to a faster one. In the [GENERAL] section of the settings file, you can set cache_directory=x:\path\to\preferred\location to a folder on a faster drive.

You can also use the mklink utility to move files. It's a standard Windows utility.
You can learn how to move the paging file, where the video driver cache files are located, and how to use the mklink utility from an AI assistant, such as Google.

You can check the level of fragmentation using the free version of the Defraggler utility by clicking on a folder or file and selecting an item from the context menu.

That may be valid, but I cannot reproduce the extended loading times on standard. The files for both standard and mirage should be under the same folder right? So what would cause one league to have problems and not the other?
