The problem is you also need an attribute requirement (int> st & dex or dex> Str & int) to make it work.

Im thinking it would be better used with spells (using battle mage) or dex stacking builds (elemental hollow palm technique?).

Even in those cases, putting your ascension points into that is though and barely justified.
