Thanks for the continued work on the game. The QoL shown looks very nice and is much appreciated. Looking forward to blasting out some endgame in a week. Hopefully too many people didn't sway the loot that we currently have. Many people say it's not good right now, but the time it takes to progress and complete everything is faster now than it ever has been. If anything I think the loot we currently have needs to get nerfed or at least the ease of access to it.

I'm all for more crafting currencies dropping, similar to how many of the most successful leagues have gone, but just buffing loot across the board is a bad idea imo and just not needed. In the past year I don't think I've ever entered maps on less than a 5link and res capped. Just kind of killed progression.

Remove the ease of access to gearing and add back in the ability to have crafting as your main focus when gearing for endgame. Even in ssf it's no more than 4, maybe 5 days before all content is done. Would love to be able to play longer. Even avoiding Kingsmarch the past 2 leagues I felt that it was too quick on the progression side of things.

This, this, and this again.

Early progression has been getting too fast, and last league it was absolutely unbearable... Stop throwing gear at players so fast.

(ps: your QoL's are nice and all but thats's not what the game needs. And why waste dev time on campaign additions... Fix the endgame, mapping, loot.)

Why are you bothered with early progression being faster than before? Not everyone is a big fan of spending a week in early maps with minimal gear and 200 deaths? The problem is not the progression being too fast. If it's fast it's fast for everyone, which is a fair playground. Problem is the LOOT. Genesis tree and kingsmarch prints so much stuff that it makes the actual loot worthless. Sure, the fast progression you are talking about is bc of genesis tree, provisioning wombgifts, they need to be nerfed to the ground. What I'm trying to say is, the problem is not how fast you progress within firt days, the problem is when you do all that and get to endgame and now you are stuck with some 10div/hour strats.

New version on top, old version on bottom

From something I've never used, to something I will never use.
What I find interresting is that the modifiers are set. No room for Divine. Maybe we will see more of that ?

That's because item's on top is from player Inventory, who didn't hold alt, and the bottom item's from the wiki.

Ha yeah my bad. That 250 ES looked too much like a locked value, and perhaps it is, but the others are all over the place, I should've known better. Ty.

I was thinking about debates like this one and I think the problem is NOT IN WHETHER KINGSMARCH SHOULD BE KEPT OR REMOVED, but in asking ourselves a question - what should be done so that it does not feel MANDATORY out of box to do this?

...

These are my two cents - but I think ultimately the debate to remove this should be completely out of scope. If there is only one player enjoying it, they should be allowed to keep it - that's what POE was all about. Respecting player's choices and promoting diversity.

...

I have to disagree with you here. Even if some think they enjoy this content, if it's bad for the game as a whole, it should be removed. While some may think they enjoy what Kingsmarch brings, they might not understand how it brings other aspects to the game they might not enjoy.

This is how it was for me for some time. I did not fully comprehend how the mechanics of Kingsmarch made other content less enjoyable. I am a relatively casual player, tending to steer clear of the meta and doing my own stupid builds and farms. As such, while getting big payloads occasionally from shipping, I cannot field a full setup of anything in Kingsmarch. The amount of gold one gets from casual non-meta play simply is not enough. But Kingsmarch is a force multiplier, which makes me fall behind the economy very much faster than before.

So I spent some thinking on how to make Kingsmarch better. First, I would cut out mappers, farmers, smelting, people. You'd get ore from maps and use that with gold for shipping. Everyone would have a ship or two of equal effiency. Shipping would only bring targeted league-specific loot, and maybe some global loot. Gambling ilvl would be capped at somewhere 70ish.

Yeah, it would be easier to just remove the whole thing, and add some other goldsink mechanic.

The same goes for the Genesis Tree. While I like the tink, when you can reliably get your first un-corrupted 6-link by the time you get to maps, I don't think it's good for the game.

Please remove kingsmarch from the game. I dont want items from boats or anything else but playing.

Dont do it then. Most of us like it.

+1000

What's wrong with you people? KM is a great mechanical toy. My hoarding in PoE finally makes sense, and sorting/browsing items and making dust — basically these ‘asperger‑like activities’ — and you want me to get ‘a few chaos’ for it? When I want to do this all day because I'm having fun? How dare you? Go do maps if you like running, go run Legion if you like exp yourself or friend ? PPL start complain in moment when realise there is loot gratyfication from map etc. decreased. I don't remember complaing when Merc league ended.

My point the entire time was, IT'S BAD for the game in ITS CURRENT STATE.

If there are people enjoying it, they should be able to do it, and it should be balanced enough to make it less punishing from economy perspective for not DOING it. That's the end of play.

I hate it myself, I speak for the players who love it anyway. As, in other aspects of the game there are pieces I love, and I would not like them to stripped or cancelled/removed from the game cuz some other guy says so. (or even if it's majority of people)

The keyword there is BALANCE in mechanics and sufficient control over what output you are getting through Atlas / engagement - where there are no significant / massive gaps between one league mechanic and another. Currently there are some and it does not mean that because of that, you should be removing parts of what makes poe, poe. Which is vast choice and diversity. (both in builds and HOW you want to play the game for YOU to enjoy it)

End of the story.
