Crossbows vs. Bows (My Solution)

" But please don‘t make it a simple bolt sack, that would be cheap. Just introduce an additional utility armour slot (or use the off-hand slot, doesn‘t really matter) for a bandoleer, exclusice to xbows. Mechanically and visually that fits way better with the heavy hitting xbow fantasy than a boring bolt sack, especially with regard to grenades. Don‘t give it flat damage or + to skills, because that would make them too powerful. I don‘t want to invert the balance, I want to have weapons properly balanced. So give it utility stats only, such as „-0.15 seconds to reload speed“, „bolts have a 30% to fork“, 15% chance for reloading to be immediate (or for firing projectiles to not consume bolts) and maaaaybe some attack speed. You get the picture. These bandoleers should come with a socket and GGG should also introduce a new rune that grants „loads an additional bolt“. There is way more modifier pressure on xbows than on bows due to the suffixes related to reload-speed (attack speed vs. Additional bolts vs. Chance for immediate reload vs. plain reload speed (the latter two being desecrated mods). this would help bridge the gap between those too and actually allow for more build variety. +1. One of-hand gear for Xbows should balance the gap of other modifiers less attack type and will give batter organised passive tree construction.

Grenades should be an one-handed item you can use offhand with crossbows or other things
Would be a boost for crossbows but also grenade/shield, one-hander/grenade, wand/grenade, scepter/grenade could be pretty cool |

What ever it comes , comes for balancing not for fearing the OP bombs. If modifiers in an of-hand implementation are for closing gaps in weaknesses then it's ok.

Nah man, leave offhand slot alone.
What Crossbow need a different mechanic. Take Monster Hunter series as an example. LBG and HBG have customization to improve or change play style. That's the kind of thing we need. Well, it basically translated into a simple stat, but still quite fun if u can keep tinkering crossbow without permanently changing it. As in, you can just go to Blacksmith like Dannig to customize. Ofc, it's gonna cost gold and maybe some materials...expedition materials, which we already have. Scope for projectile speed/accuracy Shield for Block Reduce Weight for more speed, less damage. All kind of customization really. Make it Xbow bases have innate "customization points". Not all xbow are equal afterall. Just an idea, not need to copy MH outright, but know capcom absolutely did it right. |

" +1 to seperate grenade gear part with more modifiers specialized on incrases cooldown time,skill effect duration, area of effect, double throws of grenades, ailments, stun, freeze, pin and of course if it is a unique gear then expecting some rare modifiers also. |
