Item drop visual Identifier option - readability
" Ah my bad, it works a bit differently in PoE2. PoE1 : ![]() PoE2 : ![]() and ![]() and only then in alt-view : ![]() So, no, while in PoE1 all items show item level while on the ground, that's not the case in PoE2. You indeed have to pick them up and alt-view them in your inventory. But I'm pretty sure that that's not the case for item filters : they do have direct access to this information, without you having to pick up the item, they don't have to guess anything. (Therefore it's probably even more important to configure your item filter in PoE2 !) And no, required stats and required level are very much not like item level. That Horned Crown is only required level 10, while ilvl 50 ! Those stacked sabatons are ilvl 50, but the base has only a required level of 33, and since it can only roll modifiers up to level 50, it cannot have a required level more than 50 x 80% = 40 ! (That's also why a second character in a league is so much stronger.) There's also a bunch of items that do NOT have stat requirements : jewelry for instance. ---- But thanks for reminding me of another annoyance I have with both PoEs : the fact that the required level of a base isn't shown any more if its not white. And while an item filter helps with this, brand new players don't have one, and I would still prefer to have the possibility to quickly check it manually. (As well as being able to know the requirements that come from the item base, modifiers (or socketables).) That this information is only accessible through external tools like Craft of Exile, poedb or the wiki doesn't help new players to understand the game. And it's not particularly easy to deduce from stats requirements, since those can be mixed, and even unevenly so. And it does matter, since you (usually) want the highest requirements base currently possible for this character (and rlvl is much easier to compare with ilvl than stat requirements) AND one that takes as big of an advantage as possible of the 20% discount for mods (though that would only come into play if underleveled, or if using trade). |

yeah the item level is really important, we shouldn't have to hold alt to see the level, it would be better to see the item level on the drops textbox without hovering the mouse over each one, or picking them up.
if Unique items levels were visible on the drops textbox that would be extremely helpful as well. Might get me a little more excited when something high level drops and it prevents people from accidentally missing good drops. Missing good drops just because there is bad value identification feels really bad, especially with (Tier #) drops and regular drops overlapping mod tiers. There are also so many item drops in endgame we cannot seriously be expected to sift through all of them manually and read the column of text for every one. Even the T# mod text needs to be larger because everyone depends on it and has to squint to see it. Like we mentioned the confusing reverse in ascending/descending order for the mod tier vs (Tier #) callout is not good for new players. I'm sure it's a mystery to every new player unless someone tells them which (Tier #) is best. hopefully it's just a placeholder for now, I don't know how long it's been around.
