Finished campaign in Phrecia 2.0, my only question is who asked?
" That doesn't say gauntlet bosses anywhere. Its vague and could mean literally anything. |
|
" I'm starting to think it is actually on purpose so people don't ask for another phrecia event. Its just sad. |

it is a speed bump
artificial slow down, so people are not 'done' too quickly they never mentioned gauntlet bosses anywhere - only Enrage (and that is a mechanic in POE doing very specific things). so that was a (unwanted) surprise to many players wait till you get to maps and see Idol recombinator costs :) the greatest POE league of all time - Phrecia 1.0 - has been DELIBERATELY worsened most likely to not make other POE products look bad in comparison |

I already don't want to play any other version of the campaign ever again. Bosses actually feel like bosses instead of speedbumps, and gear upgrades are impactful enough for me to bother identifying anything after act 1.

" A significant number of people asked for a softcore version of the gauntlet last time, so it is not surprising that it was included in the event this time. GGG was very transparent about this in their announcement, which makes the reaction somewhat puzzling. I'm also not sure where these figures are coming from. More importantly, it is worth acknowledging that most players have full-time jobs and other responsibilities. As a result, they cannot play around the clock and must divide their time between work, sleep, and everyday obligations, rather than dedicating all of it to gaming. This should be fairly obvious. " The claim that this has somehow ruined the event for everyone is entirely subjective. Plenty of players are clearly enjoying it, otherwise they would not be participating. Since this is a fully optional event, you are more than free to sit it out if it does not appeal to you. Ultimately, two mystery boxes are not particularly expensive, and purchasing them outright would require far less time and effort than investing forty or so hours forcing yourself to reach level 90 in an event you do not enjoy. " You know enough about the Gauntlet to be able to recognize that these mods are similar to those found in the Gauntlet. And yet you don't have the ability to discern what "bosses have additional mechanics + enrage" means? Have you READ how the Gauntlet is described before the event? Because newsflash....it doesn't say "gauntlet boss mods" anywhere lol. Even for the gauntlet event. Not to mention the gauntlet is WAY harder. That is some SERIOUS willful ignorance. Plus...you have the overwhelming power of the genesis tree AND phrecia to deal with them. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jan 31, 2026, 5:33:52 AM

I asked for this.
I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

" Guess I'm gonna be buying specific uniques that disenchant for 500k dust in order to recombine my idols lmfao They really did just make this event worse instead of giving us what we wanted: Phrecia. |

" Expecting the majority of your players to have read random gauntlet posts and know exactly what that means is ridiculous. That event is some niche thing that not many people play, I only logged in for the Hillock mtx then logged out of that one lul And yeah, I did have the genesis tree. I made a 6-link from an ilvl48 wombgift in the campaign, still didn't help me though cus I just got spawncamped by gruthkul and then abberath during the brine king fight lmao, that's what most of my deaths were to. I was running around with 12% fire res and 4% lightning res most of the part 2 campaign, until I equipped some gear from my stash and got res capped in act 10. Don't care how much of a "mistake" that is, this is just how SC Trade players rush through campaign. I was still wearing act 1 gear in act 6,7,8,9. Gruthkul spawning 50 bazillion elder portals that spawn adds, and putting that stacking debuff on you that makes you take more damage as she gets to lower hp is a stupid combination, it means that if you get the boss low then re-enter all the adds will oneshot you with their projectile attack. But clearly none of these gauntlet mods were thought through for SC, because if you die once to them in HC your character is gone. They are an HC mechanic forced into SC, and onto all the players who logged in and just wanted to enjoy some Phrecia. The campaign is bad enough, this made it 1000x worse. I was always 8-9 levels above every zone, didn't change how cringe all the bosses are. As for ascendancies, I'm playing Scavenger. My first lab was literally 2 passive points,2nd lab Foxshade passive and only in Merc lab at the end of campaign did I get Void Battery and swap out Foxshade to Cloak of Flame lmao, now imagine how people are playing this campaign with other meme builds they just wanted to try out for fun. This event is cooked, you only get to the fun part after you finish the slog that is campaign, which I guess is not much different from regular PoE. Just more annoying. |
