GGG what did you do to campaign bosses, and why?
" This would be fair if it was a ruthless event. It's an event highlighting the different ascendancy's, and most won't ever get to see the full power of them because they are run off before they have a chance. If this wasn't advertised as it was and explained that it was going to be a league where you just hit respawn 900 times before the end of the campaign that's fine. It wasn't, GGG (yes that's actually saying the cancer of GGG that is Jonathan Rogers) dropped the ball on this one. They turned an insanely fun league into complete garbage because Jonathan Rogers believes every player should forever be punished. Player retention is already proving this true. |

" The issue is no one that played this event last time saw this coming so it's a mess. You are simply wrong on "scarcity" because I can't get decent loot starting off, sure once I get 8 ascendency points (won't happen) and have everything worked out I bet it's amazing, the vast majority don't want to struggle like crazy to get to that point that's why so many gave up after day one. This event is a failure and worse it will chase off any new players that tried it. |

" I don't understand the hyperbole. Yes, it's harder, but when I (a FAR from good player) can get through the campaign with 4 deaths with one lab done, people getting 900 deaths aren't really trying. The event is fun - and it offers something different. I appriciate different in an event. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

900 deaths was clearly hyperbole.
I’ve played this game since it was three acts only. I’m not great, but I do fine. The Malachai fight ended it for me. Trying to dodge the beams while getting hit by multiple other things and then him teleporting as soon as I got to him, it’s just unnecessary it makes it not fun. I don’t mind the gauntlet part, at least up to that point, but the first thing I thought of after beating Malachai was this boss I typically have little issue with but with all the new mechanics if this is actually 4 I just don’t want to give more time to see the ignorance in at 9. 🤷♂️ |

" It's not that hard really. YOu can a) log out b) some builds have an easier time than others. I have seen at least one sc andy beat this boss first try on hc ssf gauntlet just because he played toxic rain totems. Put totems down, dodge beams easy. I myself logged out couple of times in HC. At some point you get a good round and you beat malachai down without getting hit by a beam. Just avoid being on tilt constantly. I think, that is the main problem here 99% of the time.... And sometimes you might just have to accept that your build didn't get there and your damage is way to low. But it is monkey tilt most of the times. I am pretty sure about that without being a psychologist ;) Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Feb 3, 2026, 5:42:10 AM

" The challenging event with added difficulty and hidden interactions released as a filler before the actual main league clearly is not meant for new players. Last edited by Scarletsword#4354 on Feb 3, 2026, 6:11:15 AM

" i was shocked to see hillock just leap at me and kill me. i was like wow ok this is diffrent |

" Based on the lack of any supporter pack icons on your account, I can assume it won't hurt their bottom line too much. I, for one, am LOVING this event and have really enjoyed the greater challenge throughout the campaign. After years of playing the same bosses and running mindlessly through the campaign to get to mapping, it was a refreshing change of pace to have to stop and think about the mechanics of a fight and even die once in a while. |
|
" FWIW people can hide their supporter pack badges, or spend a lot on tabs and you'd never know they were financial supporters. Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.
Stop trying to make people play the game like you do. If they don't enjoy it how about just leave it at that? |
