I just lost the game.

Gauntlet is a top tier poe experience. This event is no different.

Good time for all the sctrade players to actually learn how to play the game.

You know that idea of the PoE community that other game communities have? Where they think all PoE players are snobby, elitist dicks who'd rather talk down to other people to make themselves feel better than welcome people into their community? Yeah, you're epitomizing that.

The point of playing a game, and the reason games exist is to have fun. However that happens for you, in whatever way you do it, that's the point. Talking down to other people and acting like they don't even know how to play just for enjoying a different playstyle than you and implying you're better than them for enjoying something different just shows you're completely unequipped to answer the question I've posed. Grow up.
I think the people in need of growing up are the ones complaining about difficulty.
He probably is better than us at this game.

The key to your own enjoyment is not caring.

Compete with how you were yesterday, not with how others are now, and you will be both happier and find yourself getting better.

You are the only one spreading this mentality: the REAL world doesn't think that. PoE community at large is known as one of the most helpful, most outgoing gaming communities there is.

I suggest you take your own advice. Oh....and read things fully before flying off on an immature rage.

Dealing with this Enraged bullshit is actualy detrimental for learning the game. Good player knows not only how to build defence, but also where he can get by with little defence to save time or currency. With Enraged bosses having their damage 2x (as it seems) people only learn to stay away from most melee skils and stack defences before everything else. I mean, Ben gets one-tapped by Enrage T16 boss, having 5k hp, 40k armour and 4 endurance charges - you think he can't play this game?
My biggest problem with anyone that just spits out 'read the patch notes' is that it was vague.

Yes they said there will be enrage. Yes they said there will be new and challenging mechanics.

In my opinion, using copy pasted maven brain and piety lasers along with some weird boss cycling to beat the real boss is lazy. Not everyone is a good player. Some of us are low skill. Some are filthy casuals like me. I work 40 hours weeks with a family. Path used to be my come home to relax. I wasn't able to play the first phrecia because I was doing overtime contract work out of state. I was excited to jump in. I was even happy to try new challenges.

But getting curb stomped by maven hillock and then whatever in God's name Malachai was (first time I found out about maven brain.) then I realized I will never get to experience the new ascendancies. It is gated behind something I do not qualify for.

And whenever some of the BEST players post streams and videos calling out GGG for overtuning the enrage bit, there might be an issue. Ziz and Ben both agree the enrage damage is far beyond the static 40% based on their testing.

Also in the end this is my opinion. This is the feedback area. I give my feedback and my opinion. I realize that I am not the majority in this. I just wish GGG would be more transparent. I feel like we are doing some weird early access testing bs.

I'm happy for the ones that make it to maps. I'm not one of them. I have 41 deaths in 9 hours. Got to Malachai. Not a step further.

hilarious "problem"......it was vague ON PURPOSE.

The point is to be surprised. And to adjust on the fly.

Okay, I can understand that. Being vague for the point of surprise. But when you say things like 'enrage' and the standard median for enrage is generally 40% damage, and it is over 100% (not my findings, just quoting streamers.) then that could be an issue.

Also, I'm a little upset that they didn't get more creative or unique with the boss mechanics. Like....just throwing maven beams and piety clones in, I just feel like that is equal to tossing mines in a minefield. Get creative. I was looking forward to something akin to Incarnation of fear or some new different thing.

I guess I am just personally more upset here because I won't be able to experience the ascendancies. I have tried other builds, and I might just re-roll again, but at this point, even if I magically become a more skilled player, I doubt I will make it to maps. So at that point it all boils down to FOMO in my specific case.

not really....your "tank" is either going to work or its not. No one, especially not you at level 57 is going to have so many options that any less% enrage would make any sort of difference. Even at the median 40% (which I doubt that information), it would be just as deadly.

Also, I'm highly doubtful its over 100%. Sounds like you found a streamer that is complaining with no hard facts much like many of the people in this thread. It's pointless to complain about specific numbers that have absolutely no real meaning for builds that aren't fleshed out, or don't belong to rushers that are starting to min/max by day 2.

It's all just NEW. New doesn't equal bad. People die a few times and immediately think "oh my god this is AWFUL". They forget that their builds are almost assuredly still pretty darn crappy league starters.

People just love to complain and mentally "give up" at any sign of difficulty they weren't accustomed to before. That just shows how EASY the base game has become.

Sure....this KIND OF sucks for newer players. Only if they are used to following guides and there is no "guide" for an event like this. But that's why, at least when I'm in the conversation, I always try to tell new players to NOT follow a guide and struggle and struggle and struggle and LEARN. Following guides teaches you next to nothing, and then you end up in an event like this that hikes up the difficulty just a bit.....and everything falls apart. The flexibility and knowledge of how to overcome walls has never been developed, because the guides break down all the walls ahead of time for you without having to think about anything.

This is also why so many people have a problem that not everything was spelled out for them: they have become accustomed to following instructions from beginning to endgame......sorry can't do that here.
