what a disgrace.

I swear I tried, but there's no way to continue. And if I were to define this league with a single word, I would say: a circus.
I managed to level up to 94 and 93. And the impressive result was the following in the temple: 1 divine orb (adding the time of the 2 characters), immense waste of time, waste of resources, I only dropped one Atziri Contempt spear. I looked around, total chaos, a true show of incompetence and indifference, and I'm really impressed, how a company that created PoE1 reached this poor level of developing and elaborating ideas. I looked at the market prices, 11000 divines for a Temporalis (this is the lowest price). It's not that I need to use it or am obsessed with this armor, I actually have two that I dropped in standard, but seeing this price, I'm really impressed, and if anyone thinks this is right. I couldn't find a single citadel, I couldn't fight an abyssal boss even once. I decided to save 2 or 3 items, put everything up for sale, deleted both characters, and got out of this atrocity. This game has a very serious problem: randomness. As I saw in this league, in level 80-81 areas of the temple, I keep dropping orbs of transmutation, regal shards, and unique level 1 items. Useless altars, a reflection of a mind lacking creativity, or rather, unable to see beyond its own nose. What difference does it make to reach a level above 90, an altar that adds sockets to items, or an altar that adds 3 sockets to a skill gem? What a despicable, random league infested with exploiters! I stayed until level 80 using level 59 items because I couldn't trade. It was the worst ordeal I've ever had in a game. If resources are lacking, why does this game have the worst loot imaginable? Besides all that, I have to deal with screen freezing followed by a black screen with a one-minute interval, which has been happening for 6 months, without getting support from GGG or a solution. I remember in 2013, when I first logged into Path of Exile and created my first character, and how glorious what followed was. Today, I look at the PoE2 league, and I just feel disgust. back to standart, in myway to complete 6000H poe2. 6000hrs in poe2 eh
The 14hr+ gaming days have warped your memory about what poe1 was like in 2013. |

" Not much to add. Temple is boring and not something i want to rerun all the time. Levelling takes even more time now with the pack size reduction and maps feel emptier. Everything is so balanced around the minimum amount of player power that many builds have a hard time getting the required amount of defense and offense. I made it to 97 again but it really wasn't fun. No wonder so many people left fairly early on.

" Beautiful, wonderful, authentic, creative, unique, stunning. One of the most memorable moments was when I dropped my first StarForge in 2016. I still use it. |

Please stop playing.
Ancient and unwise, SSF only since 2012

" RNG can be brutal and punishing, so I understand the frustration, but it's a core component of arpgs. I loved early PoE1 days as well, but it's easy to have rose-colored glasses. Anyone from 2013 can tell you that getting a GMP support gem, v1 Kaom's Heart, portal gem to drop could be equally brutal Last edited by Scotchfist#1987 on Jan 20, 2026, 6:07:50 PM

" wonderful days... wonderful days ... |

So this is about the droprate of desired items? Nothing else?
I'm asking because of the title and the tone of your post. Like GGG utterly destroyed what made POE good, and then some. But it's just that certain items should be more easily attainable, right? |

" Thank you for your reply. Yes... in fact, I have many concerns about the way the game is being developed. If I really said what I think, you certainly wouldn't see me here anymore. |
