Fire Spells are Not Fun

I agree and I really don't get how it can be so complicated to get all the elemental spell groups to an approximately equal level.

I'd really like to play a properly working fire sorc that doesn't suck without huge investment.
Most spells in general suck.

If they wanted to make the game less spammy, why are spells like they currently are? The only viable spell builds are ones that fill the entire screen with hundreds of projectiles/explosions...

This whole design philosophy of trying to combo different spells together clearly doesn't work.

Nobody uses the firewall projectile damage effect.
Nobody uses frost nova with ice bolt.
Nobody mixes multiple spells/infusions (people generally just convert all their elemental damage into one element because scaling multiple elements doesn't work well)

There's no point in combining effects because killing things instantly is often the only viable way to play. If you don't kill things instantly, you die, so every build needs to be able to kill entire screens instantly to be playable.

My lvl 91 Smith of Kitava has 80% overcapped elemental resists, 75 chaos resist, 83% armor applying to both elemental and chaos damage and I still get one shot randomly out of nowhere because the entire screen is covered in explosions, ground effects, etc. just to have enough clear... so I literally can't see what's happening.

If they wanted to make the game slower, more tactical, more strategic, etc. they're not doing a very good job...
