We need an in-game loot filter system - Filterblade IS AWFUL for poe2

Been playing poe since beta and have always had issues making the perfect loot filter on filter blade but would eventually get there on filter version 10 or so but in poe 2 it is basically impossible.

Currently trying to setup a filter for farming abyss SSF in act 4 and it's not possible to get what I want, and what I want is VERY simple. I want to hide all rare armour that is not ES or ES/ARMOUR unless they have quality. I want to hide all weapons except talismans, unless they have quality. I want to see all Tiered drops. I want to hide white items except jewellery. And that is it, that's all I want.

You cannot differentiate normal and magic items, they are lumped in together for some reason.

You cannot tell it to show ALL tiered drops. There are rules but they do not work as they are overwritten by other rules or they are bugged.

You cannot tell it to show ALL quality items, "campaign salvageable items" literally does nothing, the entire rules set is non-functional or overwritten by other rules.

I can't disable white items without disabling blue items and vice versa.

No hate for Neversink, this is entirely GGG's lazy ass fault for never giving us the option in game. The Last Epoch in-game loot filter is amazing and they aren't even close to being capable of what GGG is, so where is our in game filter?

Have you tried poe2filter? It works pretty well for me

I feel like ggg will eventually do it, even D4 is getting an in-game loot filter in the near future
You can do all those things with the right format, I don't used any of the. Sites that design the filter for you by putting in the info you want. It is very possible once you figure out the formats, it's a lot of work to set it up exactly they way you want.

My filter has every piece of equipment set up where if I want only white it will show only whites, if I want only exceptional for say wands to only show you can, I want only T4 magic to show and hide everything else you can.

You have to figure out how the format works. It requires a considerable amount of typing but to get target specific drops you have to put the work in.

Yes, many times over the years I have considered a manual filter but damn, it really is ALOT of work haha.
We already have an ingame loot filter, filter blade is just a UI for the ingame loot filter.

This actually looks WAY better than filterblade for getting what I want setup. Going to try to make my filter here. Cheers 😁

We absolutely do not have an in game loot filter or editor, what are you talking about?
I agree, I make at least one custom filter a league on Filterblade and it does take forever and the UI is not ideal. I highly value the tool and that it's made for free by passionate community members, but this game obviously needs a built in filter.

Last Epoch's built in filter is very good, might be a good starting point.

You just conflated two different things.

If you are going to filterblade, that is just a graphical editor for the in game loot filter. It is not some 3rd party filter operating on top of the game. The loot filter is built in (notice how you can select which filter to use... from in the game).

You don't need to use filter blade, or any other site, to setup your filter. You can do so manually, in any text editor (like notepad) and just save the file in the appropriate POE config directory and it will be available to in IN GAME.

What we don't have is an in game editor. Two, very different, things.

You are arguing symantics because you didn't understand the post. "in-game loot filter SYSTEM" system meaning an fleshed out mechanic including an editor. Everyone else who read the post understood perfectly. Also a text editor is a 3rd party application. I want IN-GAME editing and so does everyone else.
