GGG. Explain this.

the right to post yes, the right to get answers? lol no. GGG is a company and as long as you didn't buy something from them and they failed to deliver what is precisely written in the contract they can do whatever they want. You're not their boss, they are not some government, they owe you absolutely nothing.

That won’t stop my protest. By that logic, nobody should be upset by Holten. They don't owe us anything, right? Early access, right?

GGG is different from other developers because of transparency. If we lose that from them, they are no better than Blizzard. If they are no better than Blizzard or other developers, they do not deserve the amount of support we give. And you should demand more transparency for the amount of money we spend. Otherwise, GGG should fail as a company.

If you recall, they did this more than once recently with the ommission of the rare monster indicator change.

I see a pattern forming and I don't like it.

No. By my logic you can be as upset as you like about holten. And you actually don't protest. whats with people thinking posting something angrily on the internet is "protesting"?

Listen. You don't have to agree. That's fine. This is a hill I am willing to protest on. Respectfully.

I am advocating for transparency. Those patch notes are akin to an advertisement of promises. Do you remember how mad people were about the removal of rare monster icons and there being no mention of it in the patch notes?

I am being tame by comparison.

I am being tame by comparison.

If it wasn't ready, do you really want them to push jank to production, so your character looks crappy?

If you literally bought the MTX because of the patch notes, did you write support requesting your points back? If not, and you're complaining here, then yes, you are being tame.

I think you are misunderstanding. That may be my fault. This has to do with the ported POE1 MTX to POE2. The reason this is important is because it was stated in the patch notes to be available this league. It wasn't. It feels bad and shady because of how close the supporter pack is to POE 2's most expensive supporter pack. It makes me feel like they omitted it at the last minute to see if people would purchase more MTX before releasing it. And that feeling of being strung along for more of my money is a gross feeling. Even if it's wrong.

Without clarification from GGG, that's what it feels like.

I messaged GGG about this. They didn't respond to my request. It was after that message that the patch notes changed.

I see that you spent 100 dollars on the cathedral set as well. How would it feel if you found out they wouldn't port it over for you yet because they want you to spend 500 on their other supporter pack? I'm not saying they are doing this for a fact. I am saying they need to state WHY they changed their mind and deleted the patch note.

Especially because they have the time and resources to make NEW supporter packs and mystery boxes, then disappear for a month.

If this is truly early access, they would port old MTX and spend less time on new ones. They want us to spend more money. Of course. So they trickle it out and make new MTX.

Just so we're clear, you read patch notes that said mtx which are currently available for poe1 will be enabled in poe2 for the 0.4 patch, went into poe1 and bought the mtx, and then they updated the patch notes - post release - to remove the enabled mtx?

If that's the case, that is kinda of scheisty but I mean it's a poe1 mtx that is still usable in poe1 and will eventually be usable in poe2, so I don't think it's the result of some evil corporate scheme to milk people for money.

I would imagine that this is just a case of someone saying "this will be ready" and then someone else noticing "hey it's actually not ready", with there being some low-stakes consequences such as this - run of the mill miscommunication.

I think you'd probably be able to get a refund on the points at least but not sure about getting your money back.

Good luck.

I want your take to be correct. I am hoping it’s not a dark pattern. With GGG being owned by Tencent, I wouldn’t put it past them.

This constant push for us to buy new MTX, more supporter packs, MORE is getting old. Especially since we purchased hundreds of dollars of old MTX.
