Anyone else hoping they come out soon and say...

It's funny how every league no matter what there's a section of the community that declares it the worst league ever and GGG has abandoned their core philosophy and is now chasing the dollar.

Meanwhile I'm having a blast enjoying all the new build diversity that we've been crying for.

2 new melee classes (so to speak) that we needed for 3 leagues.

Abyss is now a league mechanic and w/ atlas passives and is great

Temple is an endgame mechanic not tied to the atlas, doesnt rely on maps and consumables to run, DOESN'T REQUIRE RARITY ON GEAR THANK GOD. Is it overtuned yes but its EA and its exactly what endgame needed.

Lightning is nerfed and there are so many incredible builds to enjoy right now. A new community discovery comes out every couple days.

I'm trying to remember what else people wanted prior to this league launch. That was a big portion of it. all they need to do now is delete expedition from existence and my brain.

Seriously though I'm having a blast this league fwiw. If i was going to offer up one gripe it would be that I miss homog exalts. I miss crafting like it was last season. Bring back the homog and delete the omen of greater exalt so we have a bit more determinism but can't slam two at once. It will add more tags between homogs and add complication and less determinism than 0.3.

FURTHERMORE temple's juice is causing a lot of great things for the economy! Unique tablets are flush in the market so you can use grand project to travel the atlas with ease! Many great utility pieces like that which GGG created for us to enjoy are now available and affordable. How is that not the design intent? Every league this game grows so much. Why do people make posts like this? Failed league goals? I dont get it. Its an incredible game and so is POE 1. GGG is awesome and passionate and clearly intent on making POE 2 the greatest arpg of all time which it just might be.

Thanks GGG I LOVE YOU bring me to new zealand and i'll come work for you however you want polish your shoes walk your dogs feed your sheep :P

Nah, you are a minority.

With all the panic around this patch economy has been healthier than before and player retention higher than 0.2 and 0.3 (0.1 is higher but given it was a new game where we had to learn from 0 it shouldn't count).

ANyway POE1 is still there, go play it rofl
Good some are having fun with it i guess. But no need to tell us to shove off to POE 1. I've played it for years and now it's too aged and therefore no longer interesting. We wanted a shiny version. Anyway, it's off-topic banter.
And i feel sorry for the one that replied that this is the best and most polished beta he has ever played

That's the funny part. 0.3 came out on 29 August. Throughout the month of September, roughly a little more than a month after league start, the average player number was 121,309. Meanwhile, the average player number in the last 30 days, once again a little over a month of this league, is 94,821.

Mind you, many younger folk started school in September, meanwhile December is mostly a holiday month. So yea, saying that 0.4 is more successful than 0.3 is a lie, plain and simple.

This is one of the best early-access/beta experiences I've had across many games.

Because this is not beta and not early access, but 100% full release. "EA" label is there just to hide all flaws this full release has. The game is treated like full release right from day 1.

Most insane take I've ever seen.

0.3 shits on 0.4, IMO.

0.3 = accessible crafting and GG items within reach for normal players, fast movement speed, fast attack speed, overall satisfying build progression and fun levels of player power

0.4 = broken economy, ruined crafting, tedious and overly RNG-reliant league mechanic that requires an unhealthy amount of time to engage with, slowed down movement speed, slowed down attack speed

The only thing good about 0.4 is more variety due to buffs and new builds because of the new classes, ascendancies, and skills, stuff that has nothing to do with the league mechanic and could come at any time.

Some people have low standards.

For me I want them to focus on the core content in PoE2 and not spend even a minute of time on league mechanics like this. I know people will say that these mechanics will become "core" but I'm talking about adding the missing classes, finishing the campaign, and adding the missing weapons, and making an atlas you don't fall asleep pathing like 400 nodes to find a citadel on.

Where we are now we had a half baked temple that was explained terribly and panic hotfixed like 6 times. It simply can't go into the base game as it is right now. So you spent time that could be spent on the actual main game on this temple, now you have to spend time fixing the temple for it to go core.

The better solution would be to just not have made the temple at all and focus on finishing the main content - just my two cents.

I sure hope this god-awful league mechanic doesn't go core.
You talking about mechanism and Leagues when still after one year sime bugs remain unfixed like Ancient Aegis.

Common fix the current issues and then implement new content.
