Path of Exile 3.28 Expansion Timeline

"
You guys really need to learn math again...

Keeper of the flames: october 31

october 31 --> november 30 --> december 31 --> january 31 --> febrary 28

So if new league starts early march like the 6th, that's not even 1 week late, that's not a big deal, why is everyone crying about " 1 month late"

But im' still mad about POE 2 starting 1 month after the relase of keeper of flame...

That's only 4 months. They were on vacation during the holidays...

If you're going to sit there and try to tell everyone they need to learn math again, you may want to get it right yourself first. Maybe if you weren't so mad over a video game you would have been able to think straight and not make this mistake.

Funny though to see. I chuckled.

Releasing along side the new WoW expansion is certainly a choice. The communities have a lot of overlap.
The league cadence is quite clear.

Next PoE1 league is promised at early March. If we presume March 13 is mid March then that's March 6.

PoE2 is expected to get the Christmas slot as it did last year. That's the second Friday of December.

There are 40 weeks between those two. You can split that into five 8 week gaps. Which meshes well with the sometimes mentioned two months cadence they mentioned. This year it works out to:

PoE1 Mar 6, PoE2 May 1, PoE1 Jun 26, PoE2 Aug 21, PoE1 Oct 16, PoE2 Dec 11.

With 16 week leagues that's 48 weeks covered. Also, they have a two week break over Christmas which work wise means we have covered 50 weeks out of the 52 weeks so there's not much they can or would want to change from this.

This means the end of year leagues are 20-20 weeks for both so you have a slot for an event at 16 weeks out. For PoE1 this comes to the first Friday of February, this year it's at 15 weeks, of course one week uncertainty easily can happen.

You have no place for a PoE2 event though. That's the price PoE2 pays for the Christmas slot: a spring slump.

POE 2 not getting a new league until May is certainly a choice. But as long as they deliver on the end game revamp and maybe add some additional class/weapon or campaign finish then it would be worth it.

POE II should focus on building the framework and foundation, rather than keeping some sort of "league" cadence. We don't need leagues releasing in a schedule like a good swiss watch. Heck, we don't need league mechanics in there. Build the game, then add stuff.

Endgame in 2 is horseshit still. But I have fun with this game. How? I just don't play endgame. I reach maps, do some whites and yellows and move on to another build. Usually SSF too, cos what fun is autopiloting the campaign on a 6L and a set of leveling uniques. This is what you do once the campaign is only a chore to overcome. For me campaign IS the game right now.
hype
Cant wait for it
