Possible Bug Related to Altar of Sacrifice in the Temple

I had to abandon my temple completely because of this bug...

Sadly GGG currently hasnt even acknowledged it in the bug report. I dont think it will get fixed this season.

Thats the final straw for me sadly. I really enjoyed building the temple but losing several days of progress because of this is a real punch in the gut.

If its supposed to work this way a notification or explanation ingame before sacrificing it would be helpful.
