agree to disagree I guess. poe2 is supposed to be different. more focused on gameplay... and you can't even do that if you're blocked from getting good gear by RNG that is too high for most players..
idk what crafts you're doing... but everything I know of requires getting 4 items each with a t1 mod you want .. then hitting a 1/4 fracture... throwing out the ones you miss chaos spamming for like 1/600 odds... them moving forward from there, still with a chance to brick the item. that isn't even for mirror tier... that is for t1-t3 mods that you actually want. sure maybe like 259div... but not a mirror. if they did something like I am suggesting they could have an end game questing system with meaningful progression that would leave you ready for Uber end game where you could actually farm efficiently enough to try and craft mirror tier items. .. if a statistically significant proportion of players were added to the end game grind it would be better for everyone. there would be more mirror tier items, higher player retention through the league... I get that questing for items isnt normal for arpg's... but I think it solves all the problems .. it incentives eople to engage more deeply with end game content .. it gives devs the ability to do more interesting things with empowered corrupted zones and boss fights... entire leagues could be centered around themes for corrupted boss fights with unique soul bound item enhancements from renley that would force people to actually engage with gameplay in a way that felt meaningful ... and it still leaves an opportunity to make the Uber endgame truly cracked... so you need perfect builds with mirror tier gear to even start it... and multiple mirrors worth of gear to finish uber arbiter .. I guess the core of my philosophy here is they could almost make everything below Uber end game something much closer to a "fun mode" where you can just grind your way to a set of gear with all the mods you want at a decent tier. that way literally everyone who is willing to find for 100 hours on their character can feel like they got their investment back in fun and the ability to blast fully juiced t15-16 maps and kill all pinnacle bosses... then add a whole other system of map enhancement that makes monstera and maps ultra hard... connect that to the Uber end game pinnacle bosses, and let people who want to sweat out insanely cracked gear and figure out how to beat the Uber end game so that. everyone wants to be able to get to end game blasting. .. they don't want to be locked out of that by rng. if you give people a straightforward path to that, then leave them to the mercy of the game for Uber end game content, I think you'd see way higher player retention because people could have a lot more fun grinding for Uber end game content they might never do, than they do feeling locked out of basic end game blasting. " You don't need perfect items (all T1 with good mods) for ANY content. You don't need to start crafting from a white item. You don't even NEED crafting - you can trade your way towards incremental improvements on your gear, and some very good itens are traditionally very cheap. Temporalis is expensive, sure, but a Morior Invictus gets always extremely cheap very quickly, for example. You will have problems if you decide to copy a build made with extraordinarily high end gear without adapting it, though. I mean, we have a Chonk killing Arbiter naked to prove that. |

What tier do you need then, if not T1? How can I max my res in endgame without T1 res on multiple items? What are you even talking about? And you say there are always deterministic ways to craft good gear? Please tell me how I can craft a +7 spell skills, + spell damage, +gain damage, + cast speed staff or want. Only these 4, let's leave 2 other affixes random, how can I get these guaranteed in a deterministic way, regardless of cost? You can't, you can start with a good base and get 1 more guaranteed, from there the other 3 suffixes are RNG and some shitty ones block better ones. Let's please stop calling this sytem "crafting", it's just gambling with extra steps.

I said to get to end game blasting... and most builds definitely need good gear in order to be blasty in t15-16 maps. ... there is still such a huge gap between totally maxed out items... and items with t1-t2 all the correct affixes. allowing people a straightforward path to items with desirable t2-t1 mods so they can make blasty end game builds doesn't take anything away from people who want to minmax builds and juice things til their impossible for everyone other than multi mirror builds.
