GGG need to make manifesto about getting rid of zoomers/casuals or tuning to poe 1 pace

POE 2 was announced for years as slower and methodical, and that's how it should be.

And before that it was just called PoE 4.0 so what’s your point?

It’s called Path of Exile so people who played the first expect something similar and if they wanted to do something different they should have called it something else.
Also, and I can’t stress this enough, you can’t have a slow game when the content is based on timed events where you get better rewards the faster you kill. It’s one of GGG’s design flaws and I don’t see it changing that soon.

By the way, a casual is someone that goes and play the game once in a while, usually zoomers are those who play the game constantly and perfected the builds to do more content the fastest way possible. They are not the same and you should understand that.

there's no reason for company to have two the same games with same gameplay and same names.
it's not like wither 1 & 2
but more of diablo 1 & 2

Game should be slower or it will stick to same target as poe 1. People who loved 0.1 pace, methodical and harder gameplay just leaved and we have no hope as GGG just target casuals.

I mean if they want to make it copy of poe 1 they can but they should make manifesto of tuning the pace for faster gameplay and get rid of poe 2 core mechanics
as slower gameplay is not rewarding and all builds that works are one button zooming builds or - you are thrown out from trading.
They should absolutely make a clear statement on this. It's really annoying to keep people hopeful in a toxic-relationship type manner.

That being said, their actions moving forward will do the talking for them as well. And honestly.. it looks like the zoom zoom addicts managed to push them over and whatever they had planned for the game.

Which is really sad... devs that don't believe in what they're doing will not do a very good job.

If problem are people that are better/faster/play all the time then nothing will change that, even when they change gameplay to slow paced combat people will zoom anyway

That's not true, people can only go as fast as the game lets them. You can't zoom zoom in most games Because they have proper balance and limited power gains.

I agree that GGG should make up their mind already. They had enough time to decide what they want to do with PoE2.
Is it something that evolved somewhat and is something of a progress from PoE1 or is it just a reskin.

It is only fair to let the community know.

In my case, for example, I was not interested in PoE1 type of gameplay any more and was happy to support the development of PoE2 earlier. Lately though, as it starts to creep closer and closer to looking like the first game, I have stopped buying any mtx as a support.

I do not want to feel like I wasted my money if devs are walking back on the PoE2 manifesto.

Choose the clear path already and let us know so ppl like me dont waste their resources if it is not going to be something they want. I think 1 year is enough to clarify your vision and the direction for the future.

V Rising probably has the slowest gameplay ever. It’s also the most fun and balanced. I don’t mind the speed, quality over quantity. I’d much rather fight slowly against fewer but more powerful enemies than against rares that die off-screen due to some bullshit physical conversion explosion. It just doesn’t feel right.
Everyone screaming for the game to not be zoom zoom in this thread clearly haven't been paying attention. There will always be some broken build that goes zoom in the game doesnt matter how much GGG tries to destroy their own game and slow it down by killing skills, items, etc.

Last I checked this game is an ARPG that stands for ACTION Role Playing Game. There is no action in a slow game this isnt a MMORPG or any other type of game. So for GGG to think they are going to "slow" the game play down for combos and such are just dumb. If I wanted combos I would go play Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, or other combo driven games.

POE2 is not one of them, every season in POE2 spark has dominated the game with 1 button play style. Never changed never touched just some rebalancing due to other changes they made in game which in the end still does nothing to force spark builds to use combos.

At the end of the day let us build and play anything we want let us zoom or go at a turtle pace if we want. Game devs shouldnt dictate how the players play the game they should only dictated players that are abusing/cheating/exploiting the game by banning them yet they fail to even do this.

I know of people that RMT within the first week of season starting just so they can get gear and have a decent build at start of league vs banging their head against the wall for drops that will never come unless you cheat (exploit) the game in some way. This is Path of Exile not Path of Trading, Path of Exploiting, Path of RMTing.

Start banning the cheaters and they will bring back players that are fed up with the streamers ruining the game for the masses.

That's when I stopped reading. It's funny that you actually try to use the argument we normally use... aka lack of ACTION... because that's what you get when you zoom zoom and do 1 button builds or afk type stuff... and then the "no action in a slow game" part is just... lmao.

I've said it before and I I'll say it again... some people on this forum have a ridiculously distorted view of reality.

I bet that falling from the cliff also means "action" to those people lol.
GGG already had a take on this. They said that they are just trying to make the best possible game.
