0.4.0c Hotfix 14

I'm just an average player, you could say a poor one. I started building my temple 5 days ago by playing normally, but after the patch was released, I couldn't continue building anymore. But the rich and those exploiting the game have a magnificent temple to mine currency. Is this what GGG wants to achieve? Slaughter ordinary players and glorify those who exploit the game and get rich?

Thank you for back stabbing me, GGG. I have spent many many hours to build my temple. But you just kill the fun! old temples still work just fine, but the new comers like me can't never finish it. What a BS.

Can you please ask Chris Wilson to come and help you fix this mess? Thank you.

A little bit of Stockholm Syndrome, fanaticism, and sunk cost fallacy. Some people have spent hundreds / thousands of dollars into this franchise over time ( and the people who just bought $90+ this league alone are probably at their most critical ), and they really really don't want that investment to be for nothing to them.

Some people really enjoy the game outright, so they'll defend it until the end of the universe, or until they come to terms with it's immortality.

Some people only have this game to play, because they've cornered themselves into it ( D4 bad folk ), or they've spent so much time figuring out how to play well that they just can't bring themselves to do the same thing again for another game. The comparisons would be obvious, and anything less than will be off putting, even if they have far better other points. Like a parent trying to get their kid to go to a certain college and stick with it.

There were millions of us stuck on the World of Warcraft bandwagon for years, and some still are. That game was clearly going downhill after it's 3rd expansion released, but people will push through until they can't anymore. There are some diehard fans in PoE / GGG, regardless of the problems it's had over the last 6 years.

People can be quick to forgive and forget, all it takes is one "win" in their eyes and they feel validated in their commitment to something, especially when they've been taken advantage of or abused. It's painful to be a victim of something, and nobody want's to feel like it was even remotely their fault for something.

It's far easier to make everything out to be okay.

I've been playing POE for a long time and ggg have a lot of credits in the bank with me so I'll try and keep this semi-constructive.

After ignoring the temple mechanic due to it being confusing and expecting nerfs uou then release a patch buffing rewards and difficulty and making it easier to gather crystals.

This sent a strong message and green flag to people to actually invest the time in trying to build a decent setup. Personally I put a lot of time into that and was getting to a point where I was hopoing to finish things off and spend the last weekend before I return to work blasting temple to close out the league for me. I'm sure there are a lot of people in my position.

Then on Fridaygoing into that final weekend before many of your customers are returning to work you decide to set fire to that week of grinding that people did. There's no reason to feel any sympathy for the people who have been printing divs for weeks but do you even consider what you actually did to a fair chunk of your user base in this last week?

That isn't time we get back, it's gone and it didnt eve occur to anyone in the decision making chain at any point that the combination of the messaging from the buff patch followed by a nerf going into what for many is their final period to grind this league was an insane decision?

I dont know what else to say, baffled. Really thought you guys were more in touch with your player base than this. Maybe time to stop loking only at what the 1% and streamers are4 doing and realise who is paying your bills guys
