The economy was fine !!!

Casual players could fine a golden charm on Azmeri or an Omen a light.
A lot of end game items / comps findable in maps was sky rocketing.
But still obtainable or lootable for everyone. ( exept temporalis maybe or few other shit ).

Hardocre gamer had a huge end game to grind.
Casual is a better experience with this kind of economy.

After beeing piss off by the top player looting tones of divine in temple, i accepted the fact that i had to do the same.
I grinded a shit tones of map, poe db, youtube to understand how to build it.
I build half my temple with 1 week of try hard.
And now you are swapping rooms for more varietes?
So now after losing half the progress of the day because Medaillon changed, but there is not any info in game. Ah !?
I cant belive it, you dont realise how mutch effort it takes.

How do you think players are going to react?

Its a fucking beta. We are dealing with bug and shit, but you cant let us having fun i guess.

Im so sad to see where Path of Exile is going.
No
So sad :'(
what the beemo
pretty much all i can do now is watching elite streamers who built their giga temple play and earn a lot of currencies while im trying to find an medallion upgrade to tier 3 with my 10 rooms temple lol
I have been playing this game for years and I have not posted anything here once before. This bullshit pissed me off so bad. I was started building temple yesterday, I thought this farming was okey since there was no updates for about 2 WEEKS. OMG this patch come out of a fucking 3 IQ brains.

I'm going to be honest, I don't even comment on patches, but I just spent money on this game over Christmas to play with my fiancée. You guys need to figure out what your end goal is with this game. Coop bugs almost made us quit as is, but you have no respect for the average player, yet love when people like Fubgun abuse the game with their viewers. I don't know how else to explain it. Your decisions can only be interpreted as disdain, or a misplaced sense of who should be pleased with changes. Of course, you never bothered to ban Elon Musk for breaking TOS or to punish Wall-street types for abusing obvious glitches and exploits. I don't even know what constructive feedback I can give. Restart the league I guess. Everyone is gone anyway and no one can afford anything.

fubgun just played the game and used the mechanics.
zero his fault!

I can't even imagine why the latest update was even necessary. In the last few weeks, everyone has already settled on a playstyle. Some decided to build a temple, others to run maps and farm bosses to sell overpriced items to those who run temples. But now the temple is dead. Many built temples with spymasters, but they're no longer needed. If you want to build a new temple, forget it. It used to take dozens of hours of endless runs and planning, but now, without the ability to defend, it's completely pointless. Ultimately, those who built a mediocre temple completely won; perfect temples are out of the question, as are those who wanted to build one during the holidays. There's nothing to do in the game now; you can't buy items because they cost thousands of Divines, and if you do, they might be worth nothing tomorrow. Running maps is pointless; after the last few weeks, farming two Divines an hour is ridiculous. Apparently, this is the end of the league for me and many others like me.

GGG do not play their game, which means they have no idea about the economy inside and they are generally on holidays..
I understand the balance for higher tier nerf but nerfing the lock means that you can't build your temple anymore... Please revert the lock change...
I've been worried about how I was going to get back into work mode on Monday. Thanks for helping me out GGG! Now I can spend the weekend preparing.

This hotfix was spectacularly tone-deaf. In a single, unexplained move, GGG gutted the only reason to keep engaging with the league mechanic - Measured End Game Progression (not loot). For the first time in a long while, the community had a real sense of endgame momentum—something actually worth grinding toward. And instead of tuning it, you obliterated it mid-season.

Yes, the loot scaling was high. Everyone knew that. But there’s a universe of difference between balancing and outright deleting the core structure of temples halfway through the league. That’s not balance—that’s bait-and-switch. You proudly claim you don’t nerf things mid-league, then immediately hide behind the tired excuse of “it was a bug” or “unintended behavior” when it’s convenient. That line has completely lost credibility.

What’s worse is the pattern this exposes: the community repeatedly discovers how to push your systems further and more creatively than your own developers ever anticipated—and instead of embracing that, you punish it. If your players understand the limits of your game better than the people building it, that’s not a player problem. That’s a development problem.

This change didn’t just kill a mechanic—it killed motivation. It sent a loud, clear message that time invested means nothing and anything fun is temporary until it’s deemed “too rewarding.” After 1,500+ hours, I’ve hit my limit. This wasn’t a misstep; it was a betrayal of player trust.

Do better, GGG. Because right now, I’m done.

This.

In my job this patch would be labeled as "poor product management" and the PO would have a lot to explain.
