0.4.0c Hotfix 13

Delete this league, I want to kill monsters, not play with blocks. Its POE2 not minecraft ...

An unfortunate but somewhat necessary patch.

I am not much of a game designer but I still wanted to provide my 2cents to the devs and players who come after this.

Players:

This was a clear exploit and unintentional use of a mechanic, what did you expect? No you should not expect to make 100 div an hour all league. You got this as long as you did because GGG made the sane call to let their employees enjoy the holidays.

Devs:

The patch seem pretty hurtful to new players while not really impacting the high end as much as it should.
Here is my take for a solution:

Roll back the room lock change, it prevents anyone else from feeling like the mechanic is worth starting.
The diminishing returns is really good so keep that.
Make the temple half the size. Yes this will likely require deleting player temples but those players are exploiting something to a degree at which I wouldn't be surprised if bans started going out. Give them a fresh start.
Making it half the size should have a huge impact on the profitability and server impact.

Again, not a dev, dont know what internal meetings youre having or what follow up plans you have. Just wanted to give my thoughts as someone who wanted to do a bit of the big temple stuff from fomo and feels like I shouldn't touch it at all now.

To GGG team: Please check who have moved jira ticket from QAC to done and to ready for deployment and smack this guy in the face.

guys you really need to think a head before releasing any new damn hotffixes

from this patch what i read in this patch you didn't think a head at all

in this patch you didn't even think on the direct effect ..

you just got an idea after releasing the patch and pushed it through without thinking or testing the effects on the economy
now the rich gets richer where the economy already everything tripled in price
so only the people with setup in temple will be able to buy crap .

i cant even talk about unique support gems and how expensive they are now if we are not talking about the gear and some of them is mandatory for current builds
weapon needs like 10 snake runs to get a decent weapon

wont talk about rarity on gear and how expensive good rarity items
< for the love of god either remove rarity from gear or make it 7th state on gear always there ,you cannot make me choose between performance of the build or getting loot to upgrade my gear .... for the love of god we are full year already and already not fixed ...

GGG effectively took 2 steps forward and 1 step back with this patch.

YOU PROTECTED THE FULL JUICED TEMPLE STREAMERS WHO RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE AND PUNISHED THE AVERAGE PLAYER. THEY BETTER FIX THIS OR ALOT FO US WILL BE LEAVING THIS GAME.

PLEASE FIX THIS. AT LEAST MAKE LOCK EMDALLIONS WORK ON T2 ROOMS .
LIKE COME ON.

It seems you really don’t want anyone to play your game right now.

No clarity on Holten for nearly a week.

Then taking half measures encourages what was already occurring, only to completely reverse course once everything has been thoroughly messed up for anyone who hasn’t interacted with what you now consider too potent after allowing it to continue for nearly two weeks at this stage.

I have hardly missed a supporter pack, and I haven't skipped a league since I began playing, but you’re making it difficult for me to want to keep that going.

You all need to make some adjustments because this isn't what it once was and what captivated players in your game.

The rich stay rich. the poor stay poor. Nearly a month into league and this is what you come up with after putting out a 40% increase then saying its crashing your servers. You did this to yourself and your taking it out on the players that couldn't build there now legacy temples. 200hrs now to build. I cant believe it! Do you really care honestly!

Either nef it early or leave it, this is the worst timing for the hotfix. Casual players begin to bulid their temple get hurt the most.
