0.4.0c Hotfix 13

I usually never post, but this change honestly pushed me to the point where I don’t see a reason to continue this league anymore.

You fixed Holton, which was fine, but you left all the already-inflated temples untouched. That means the people who abused it still keep their advantage and continue affecting the market, while everyone else is simply left behind.

Then you buffed crystal maps, which finally gave casual players like me a reason to invest time into the temple mechanic. Before that, the maps already felt bad and the league basically forced us into temple gameplay anyway.

I spent several days building up my snake and played many hours just to get a small part of it done. Now you change the types mid-league and all that progress is simply worthless. This hits casual players the most, because we don’t have endless time to rebuild everything again from zero.

I have around 1,500 hours in the game and spent more than €400 on supporter packs because I used to enjoy playing. But changes like this feel disrespectful to players who invest their time into new mechanics. I would have understood it if this happened next league, but doing this mid-league makes engaging with content feel pointless.

Right now it feels like no matter how much effort you put in or how you try to keep up, the progress you build can just be wiped or devalued at any time. That’s the reason I’m seriously considering quitting this league.

Congratulations to the development team, there will be no more server problems, as the 30 people who will continue playing will certainly not overload the server

Playing since 0.1 and this is the worst hotfix ever I seen so far.

Whoever completed the temple barelly got nerfed while the ones trying to build their layout got the fun gutted.

A response from people who couldn’t give a shit about players’ opinions? From people who milk players for in-game cosmetics and spit on any kind of feedback?

The fact that someone pays these guys wages is crazy to me. Never witness such a terrible patch in any game.

I spent a huge amount of time learning and running the temple-building strategy, and I was thrilled that my juicy temple was finally almost finished—then this patch ruined everything.

Shut down existing temples still abusing this unintended mechanic to print divs.

With this change....

I would love for you, GGG, to show me how to properly setup and build a temple now. (like a video of someone showing all the steps to have a juiced temple)

That would be such a cinema video. I bet they have 0 idea of how to properly min-max a temple, let alone now after this update.
