Please stop rewarding group play with more drops(every season post this till ggg make changes)

This problem is not going anywhere, it is still there for a really long time in POE 1. The problem with developers being players is that they have favorite play styles they use and they are not objective about those. We know Mark likes bot stuff to multiply damage / survivability while abusing rarity to boost drops to absurd degrees and he recently started spending more time with POE 2 (because POE 1 has a dedicated team now). You can check out the new uniques teased, they are both gorup play focused. There is a penalty to use these items in solo play because you sacrifice gear slots but they are always justifable because they casually provide 6 times more benefits in group play.

Current group play balance forces highly synergistic group play and punishes friends casually playing together.
