Endgame player power is TOO HIGH AGAIN - 1 week from league start
|
It has been 1 week since the fresh league started and the game is flooded again with even casual players having a character so strong that it clears T15 maps with 1 button.
WHY?! - Where is the challenge? - What is there to conquer if the character is so strong that it DELETES entire screens with one button after one week? - What motivation we have to continue playing AFTER ONE WEEK if we are so strong that the game can't offer anything else than mindless 1-button smashing for the next 3 months? No combat, just explosions. - This problem starts already in mid-game (late campaign) and gets to a stupid level in END GAME where no real effort is needed. - Strong enough gear is too easy to obtain and is powerful enough to turn any character into a screen-wiping nonsense. This is not build or character specific. You can pretty much put "PoE 2 XXXX OP build into Youtube" and check videos in past 7 days and you will find EVERY character blasting through T15s already. What is the point of playing a game where player power is so absurdly high in such a short time?? Game over. Finished. Completed. Now even casuals are waiting for a new league, hoping that end game will bring at least some challenge and actual combat, not bosses dead in 5 seconds and everything exploding. --------- I'm quite sure you don't need those, but just a quick search on some videos in case anybody would still wonder: Ranger, poison spam (HC SSF by the way): https://youtu.be/iNF7A4z_VNM?t=478 Lich, Essence drain (where are the monsters?): https://youtu.be/iNF7A4z_VNM?t=137 Amazon LS (of course, LS + Rhoa) https://youtu.be/iNF7A4z_VNM?t=353 Sorc (good luck to your GPU) https://youtu.be/hgqG1SE0uJg?t=89 Ranger, Ice shot + Rhoa (you ever stop only to pickup loot) https://youtu.be/hgqG1SE0uJg?t=535 Titan, T3 Xesht dead in 3 sec (melee weak? HAHA. Nope) https://youtu.be/jRHOofK3EwQ?t=1 The list goes on... and this is still week 1 of new league. Absurd. Too easy. Too strong. Too many explosions. No actual combat. Bots can play this. No challenge. Game completed too fast. Last edited by Sam_GGG#2420 on Dec 21, 2025, 8:21:12 AM Last bumped on Dec 21, 2025, 8:20:57 AM

game is horribly unbalanced
100% junk no wonder 350k+ players have left to never return after 0.1 gets worse every patch Yes i get it an early access title at the moment, still its junk and probably wont get better calling it now, dead game before 1.0 release, yes people will come try it but i am willing to bet MOST of them and i do mean MOST will leave after a week meaningful combat is a joke you can actually destroy everything in the game very easily with BASIC AUTO ATTACKS game is junk company is junk Last edited by Kaelrath#6403 on Dec 21, 2025, 2:29:48 AM

" Bro then leave. Like how sad do you have to be to come onto a forum of a game that you think is junk and just bash it for hours everyday. Come on man. You gotta have better things to do with your life and if you don't thats really and I mean really sad. |

+1
Supposedly balance was one of their priorities... I'm not really seeing it. Aside from that though, what's more concerning to me is that a lot of mechanical decisions are just not geared towards having any kind of good combat. For example, the werewolf seems to have their skills heavily focused on freezing enemies... they literally don't work without doing that. You literally need your enemy to be frozen to get icycles. So that begs the question... does that mean you're supposed to constantly freeze everything and therefore never engage with anything in any meaningful way? Are the skills working well together when you're not freezing your enemy? Not even close. All the skills, even the basic attack, were designed to work around freezing. Let's remove all +skill levels from all gear. This alone will heavily adjust player power.

I just can't understand people like you OP. Let people play and enjoy their lives. Just for your info %80 of POE playerbase still don't know how to play the game. Let people play , learn and build their diversity by themselves.
It is impossible to make happy people in these years. This game is currently the best ARPG game in the market and they really have skilled developers. If the game is not for you , you can leave. It is still in EA and they are cooking it. |

Yeah, the pattern I've been noticing every league is that act 1 is actually the most difficult and after that it gets easier with each act. Then in act 4 power spikes like crazy and I have not much theory crafting left for my build.
It's too easy and too fast for my taste... I'm not using trade at that stage, I've heard some people do... Absolute overkill in acts, that's where really the most fun is, the whole run for the endgame is lamest thing ever in modern gaming history. |

" Yeah I don't mean to ruin anyone's enjoyment, but I feel like the endgame player power is absurdly high. I am a casual noob, don't like ruthless mindset to suffer, I have few hours a day to play, I don't watch any streamers or follow any guides. I'm fine with learning by mistakes, which I do often. But even like this, I feel like after 1-2 weeks, even I will beat the game and there will be nothing left to conquer for next 3 months. I love player progression, feeling stronger, fighting bosses, getting my ass kicked, improve, find better gear and beat it next time. But now it feels like I find/craft 4 items and I wipe-out entire screens with one button. It's just too much. No challenge is just too boring. |

Casuals need like 50-100hrs to reach that level of power for most builds. I think GGG will be happy if they can get casuals to play 50hrs+ a league.
It does get too easy for the experienced players though if you are playing a good build. However if they make the game harder, it pushes casuals away and also limits the amount of viable builds. Balancing isn't easy with an open ended game. So they are trying to limit players to make balancing easier with things like combos, cooldowns, infusions, charges, sustain issues, etc. We've seen most of the player feedback on that.
