same situation, I put on a bow with +1 and the Harold of plague stopped working and HoA not nothing pressed same as you

That is why you can use Herald anymore. Unlearn that and all golden.

same issue with the driud, no lord of the wilds passive point. I tried all solutions here but can't make herald of ash work.

Exact same problem with Druid ... Was working fine until I upgrade my skill and now completely unusable for unknow reason ...

For what it's worth. I had this issue and it turned out to be that the spirit needed had increased without being reflected on the gem. When I got an extra +30 spirit from a quest my HoI turned itself back on, needing 50 instead of 30.

Sadly, that's not it ... I actually have 60 spirit and the error message still there.

It has to be a BUG ... very frustrating

I had this happen to me, where my Herald of Ice suddenly stopped working, claiming "not usable with current weaponset". The optionpanel for herald of ice was red and didnt allow me to click the weaponset boxes like the screenshot above.

I got the weaponset boxes for herald clickable again, by swapping in a different working spiritgem (in my case 'Hour of need') in the same slot as the herald was in, and then swapping herald back in again.

I hope it helps someone.
