AMD Andrenalin driver error message on loading into login screen

Next season it is
Is this still a problem in 2026 ? I'm now mainly using Linux CachyOS where I do not encounter this issue. On Another partition I have Windows 10 with downgraded drivers to version 25.10.30. Is it safe to upgrade windows drivers now ?

If this is still a problem it's a shame that GGG cannot find some way around for AMD users.
Hello,

I copy / paste here, a reply that I did, related to this issue :

Sorry to hear that. Many of us own a similar AMD setup and unfortunately are facing to the same situation.

The most efficient way to avoid these crashes is to rollback on drivers flavor Adrenaline 25.9.2 available here : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-9-2.html

Some improvements from AMD :

Few days ago AMD has published Adrenalin Edition 26.2.1 Optional, these drivers are available here : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-2-1.html

I am testing them since 2 days now and they are stable as the 25.9.2 used to be.

I am playing with the DX12 renderer, GPU : 7900 XT and 5800X3D CPU.

For me, at the moment, these both AMD drivers revision are the best for PoE2, they do not trigger crash of the game. Especially on Spark / CoC.

The Adrenalin Edition 26.2.2 that has been published are also okay on my side.

They are available here : https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-2-2.html

So the best AMD drivers for playing PoE2 0.4 are :
(I am playing on the DX12 renderer)

- Adrenalin 25.9.2
- Adrenalin Edition 26.2.1
- Adrenalin Edition 26.2.2

Maybe it was an AMD issue that was not handleable on GGG's side due to it being an AMD driver issue that has to be solved only by the AMD graphics dev team.

And maybe the only way around it was to advise a range of no problematic versions at the game launch splash screen.

It's funny, different people's experiences.

26.2.2 causes Crash to Desktop just standing in hideout with me.

The most stable driver on my rig, using the DX12 renderer, is 32.0.11024.2 with Driver Date of 25/06/2024.
It's the driver Win11 installs from Win Update.

It still crashes occasionally, but it's way less frequent, like one crash a week, instead of one every few minutes or hours as with newer drivers.

GGG *need* to fix their renderer with AMD Radeon hardware.
