GGG would be better able to investigate if you post an MTR log;
https://www.poecommunity.help/information/server-connection Technically, it's usually recommended that you post links to them over on Pastebin. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Same problem kind of, massive lagspikes since roughly 0.4 announcement. So this is unlikely to be player side but rather GGG side.
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" Respectfully, the internet is bigger than your house or apartment and GGG's hosting provider's data centre. It's not about 'sides' so much as it is about attempting to ascertain what the root cause of reported symptoms are so that a solution can be devised and deployed. Maybe the problem is with the servers themselves; maybe the problem is one of traffic congestion within GGG's provider's data centre; maybe the problem is one of how traffic is routed to their data centre. GGG are based in a single Auckland, New Zealand office. They cannot independently ascertain how and why people connecting to the São Paulo data centre are complaining of problems. Thus, they know what you tell them. If you want them to investigate an issue and try to fix it, that's fine. But refusing to perform any kind of debugging or otherwise present them with data they can use to attempt to understand what is happening and why isn't how you make GGG producing a solution more likely. It's up to you. I'm in Dublin, Ireland, and connecting to their Amsterdam data centre. I can't do it for you, and I'm not affected by the issue. Try to help GGG help you, or don't. It's your call. "My belief here (which is based on lots of anecdotal evidence) is that GGG knows the problems they have and that they can fix them if they assign the resources. My belief (which is also based on lots anecdotal evidence) is that the main distinction between something being fixed and something not being fixed is the "We have a problem - fix it GGG!" feedback from users. So I was adding this here in this thread. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" You have anecdotal evidence which is indicative of a New Zealand-based company's understanding of where networking issues exist in Brazil's backbone internet infrastructure? I'm jealous! Speaking as a Network Engineer, I can't even fathom what that evidence could be. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

"You are assuming that this is/was caused by "networking issues". And you seem to be grossly misinterpreting me, I wrote nothing about "understanding", you are making this up. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" Yes - respectfully, as is everybody else. If the problem was server-side we would expect to see ~10 pages worth of people posting about the issues affecting the São Paulo servers. Not a total of two people. " ? " " You first said you believe that GGG "knows the problems" and "they can fix them". Putting your baseless accusation to one side, you then claimed to have never suggested GGG have an "understanding" of the problem. The two would appear to be at odds. Do you believe GGG understand the problem or not? GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support. "My issues are/were not about São Paulo servers. I didnt write this. I was playing on Washington DC. Which was fine for the whole league but got bad just about PoE2 update. IIRC we had similar "PoE2 screwes with PoE1 performance" things in the past. And about those 10 pages claim: People are different, play different etc. They may also be treated differently when being assigned to servers, etc. Further look at OPs post: They are doing 'Fortress' T17 map. My guess is that this suggests player with above average Server power demands. And there do seem to be some posts. And EU is still mostly bad at certain times at least for a long time now. People just stop posting at some point. I also stopped posting on the EU issue. "I wrote "they know they have problems", you implied it as "they know whats causing the problems they have". "See above. Also see my earlier post. I dont know if they understand the problems they have. What I said/implied is that if they were to assign the resources they have to fixing them then they could. If they dont already understand the problems then they need to investigate them first obviously. But they have sufficiently competent people. They just dont use them for fixing things that arent considered high priority by the management. (Or its simply a $$$ issue which means they dont want to fix them.) No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle! Last edited by Zrevnur#2026 on Dec 10, 2025, 6:02:31 AM
