PoE 2 servers are restarting now. They should be back up in approximately .

Less monster density? Why?

Yea, we been pointing that out to you because Dark Souls isn't Dark Souls only because it has dodge roll and parry. Basing your entire argument on that is beyond reductive of what really makes those games what they are. Someone who claims they are a huge fan of that franchise should know.

Sure buddy. Totally-not-Dark-Souls-2.

Enjoy comboing & rolldodging on a white monster (singular) with the upcoming reduced pack size, lol.

Its more like... closed/open beta poe like... with a roll mechanic... and I love it.
I'm no fan of PoE2, but this change does make a lot of sense.

PoE2 is not supposed to be PoE1. It's supposed to be slower and scarcer with what some people call "meaningful combat" (read; slower, less gear-dependent, more reaction/timing based combat).

That is more or less impossible in a high density environment, which (in a greater way than normal) funneled people into a very few clear-oriented builds. The less density a game has, the less "required/forced" you are to handle that density with certain builds.

It is very much in the "PoE2 spirit", and they should stick to that. I won't play it, because I (personally) find it boring, but it's impossible to get it both ways; you can't have "meaningful", timing-based, dodge roll-based, Dark Souls-based "meaningful combat" in a very dense environment.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

This is why they should keep poe 1 and 2 as two sides of the coin. Allow poe 1 to be the way it is and make poe 2 the opposite. One with high density easy to kill mobs, the other with low density hard to kill mobs. That way they can make both sides happy. They should just make sure that once poe 2 is finished being made (release)... that they pay equal attention to both and allow both to shine in their own ways.
