Without proper non rng crafting I guess the majority of players can go back to simply ignoring every item drop and just trading our way to gear upgrades.

Personally, I'd rather choose one base item for each slot, find that, then work on it as I play making it better over time. Craft it myself with clear progress not rng spam, and only need to go to trade for very specific things or just to speed up progress.

In real life, bears are very fast and agile, clumsiness and the rest is a myth, so if it seems like a bear is too slow, then something is wrong.
